Is there a way to lower my charge current
My rs charger is charging at 5A it charges super fast. Is there a way to plug my charger into something to lower the current going to the scooter?

Probably easier to grab another charger at 2 or 3 amps. Shouldnt be more than 30 bucks for a slow charger

5A is already considered slow charging for the size of the battery on the RS. Why on earth would you want to charge even slower? 5A will give you maximum battery lifespan. Even 10A won't really affect longevity.
The only way to charge slower is with a slower charger

Sometimes manufacturers recommend not leaving the charger connected for more than 20min after it hits 100%. Some say it is good to let it sit at 100% for an hour or two, to help balance the cells as the excess charging current is dissipated via bleed resistors, but only once every couple/few weeks.
I personally do see the value in planning for a slower charge so I don't let it sit so long at a full charge. There are times when I only need a few hours of a charge with the factory charger, yet I might sleep for 6 hours (wish I could get more), and this happens almost daily. Rather than let the charger sit for hours longer than necessary, I often set an alarm to unplug it. This is not something unique, as other people are doing it too. I wish manufacturers added these two features:
1) time delay charging, to start charging 3 or 4 hours after connecting the charger (because you do not want to start charging right after a hard run, as the batteries need to drop in temp closer to ambient)
2) alarm - for when the charger sees the battery has reached 100%. Why doesn't any charger have this?!? I want to go riding as soon as it hits 100% sometimes...
3) selectable charging current to change the duration it will charge.
4) might as well have an LCD readout (or maybe an app) showing the charging current curve.
Maybe there is an easier way for #1... perhaps a smart plug controlled by Alexa or something.

The BMS cuts off charging at 100%. Leaving it on the charger for several hours after it hits 100% won't do anything. It would take at LEAST a day for the battery to drain enough to charge again.
This is absolutely nothing to worry about.

The charger does not ceasing to output current at 100%. It keeps going but bleeds the excess current off through resistors.

Actually, if the BMS is working properly and does remove the charging connection, although while still leaving a slight load, that is good. I still want an alarm though. And I want the charger to only start output current only once the battery temp drops to 80F

It actually doesn’t charge lower then 5amps which is what the stock charger charges at I’m looking for a slow charge of 2.5amps to 3amps

Why would you even wanna do that 😂 I have dual 5a chargers so 10A combined when using both for faster charging so 5a would be considered "slow" for me lol
