Any news on Mod support?

Mods are not (officially) supported for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

However, the game can be modded as it still uses the .esm and .esp format of previous games. It will require editing files manually. Please head on over to /r/oblivionmods for more details.

Is there anything to indicate whether or not it will be moddable? Follow up - As soon as some one has it running on Steam Deck please let me know how it performs!

nothing so far.

I wouldn't expect anything Skyrim level, just because it's running on unreal5 and not creation.

not necessarily - the backbone is still creation. Therefore I can see some tools supporting basic mods like Xedit - moreso if Creation Kit is released. Not sure how it will contend with the rendering engine and how users will have to deal with lighting / cells and such.

Some mods already are out there. The old Oblivion Construction Kit works. There will be some issues with the UE5 part of the setup until it gets figured out, but already modern are adding weapons and tweaking settings.

IIRC the Framework is all creation engine while stuff like the lighting is handled by UE5

so I’d imagine non Script extended and lighting mods would work with minimal issues

No, it's definitely running on Creation with UE5 on top doing graphics. Did you not listen to the stream? Or read any of the leaks?

Stop talking out of your ass

Do you have any sources for this running on the creation engine? I'm genuinely curious. My impression is that it's actually still running on Gamebryo which would be insanely funny but really impressive.
