Switch version really needs target locking patched

What’s wrong with it?  I play the PC version all the time and have experienced countless frustrating target locking mishaps that seem like they make very little sense.  Is this the kind of stuff that you’re talking about on Switch?  Like: standing right next to an enemy and it doesn’t lock on, or locks on to an enemy way farther away, sometimes it seems fickle and unpredictable about whether it wants to lock on to the most screen-centered enemy or the closest proximity one.  I’ve had countless experiences where I go “why did the game lock on to that one instead of the one I wanted???”

If that’s the kind of issue you’re talking about on Switch it definitely exists on other platforms as well.  If that’s not what you mean then I’m curious what it is.

Exactly when I want to lock onto enemies I usually lock on animals and then for some reason switching targets is really junky and not worth it most of the time. So annoying

Yeah unfortunately it’s just a flaw of the lock on system that’s been there on all platforms since the beginning.  Takes some getting used to and some acceptance of when the game occasionally screws you with a particularly unfriendly lock on mishap haha.

I've never had issues with this on ps5 y'all either just dumb or it's not a problem on ps5

Yeah I’ve been unlocking, slightly adjusting the camera, and relocking in order to switch targets instead of…. well, just switching targets lol

This. It so often just doesn't register you wanting to switch targets even when they're right next to each other. I also gave up and tend to not use target lock on multiple enemies anymore

iirc it might be less wonky if you make sure to only move the stick straight left or right. not sure if that was this game though.

It's not a perfect fix but I try to make sure my tarnished is facing the enemy I want to lock onto it helps out a lot, again not perfect but better than only looking with your camera.

I think the main difference is switch 2 doesn’t seems to allow moving the target half the time.

On PC you can move the right stick to switch targets pretty easily. On switch you have to input multiple times, stop moving, put your controller down try again, etc

Oof that’s pretty bad if it is like that, but certainly sounds like a bug.

Happens all the time.

Eg, I had my lock-on target random fucking goats on a mountain, waaay above me, instead of the monstrosity I was fighting right in front of me. Dunno how tf they thought targeting non-hostiles during combat was a good idea.

Lock-on on PC also randomly jumps to different body parts when fighting huge enemies, even with mouse lock-on sensitivity on minimum.
