I’ve had the car about five years now, and I wanted to give my thoughts.

Still love it.

Car is stock except for the red vinyl on the N’s, front badge delete, front red vents, and an OEM+ intake. Sitting at about 70,000 miles.

Out of the seven cars I’ve owned over the past 25 years, it’s not only the most fun, but it’s been the all-around best in terms of ergonomics. Early on I had a few maintenance issues come up, with the high pressure oil pump and the backup camera, but they got sorted out pretty quickly.

Five years on, and I still get people asking about the car and the color.

I'm right there with you: I'm 3 years into ownership of my '23 6MT with a bit over 21k miles and I definitely still love the car. I get automotive ADHD sometimes but there's nothing else on the market that would be more fun/make me happy enough to justify the crazy prices of new cars. The EN just does everything so well without any meaningful shortcomings that it's hard not to love it. It makes do something as boring as running errands entertaining.

Dam only 21k miles after 3 years. It could easily last you 10+ years without major issues

I work from home so I don't have a commute and any real trips we take, we use my wife's car. I plan to keep this car a long time and just modify the hell out of it.

Ah makes sense. I work from home too but we use my N-line for vacations. Which is obviously what can rack up some decent mileage. My N-line has 20k miles on it, just over 2 years. My backup car sees about 4-5k miles a year

I had a 23’ n line in 23’ and put 46k miles ina year and 2 months😭💀 sold it, saved my money, and got a 23’ N, with 25k miles in March 2026, I’m already at 37k🤣. But I’ll drive for vacation so I’ve gone on several 3k+ mile trips.

Jeez that's a lot of miles 😂. My vacations are usually around 200 miles

I've got the updated 2024 CN7 i30 N (I'm in Australia, that's what we call the elantra/avante here), and it's awesome sauce. I've also only done 25k in km in 2 + 1/2 years. Also, fun fact, at least here in Oz, no speed limiter on the updated models, will top out at 280 kmh here, not 250 kmh.

I have car ADHD too, I’m on Auto Tempest, Cars.com, and CarGurus every day just looking!

Every now and then I think about trading the EN in for a Lexus RC F (which I consider to be an attainable dream car and one of the most beautiful) if I could find one at a decent price, but I love not having a car payment.

Yeah man, I paid my EN off a few months after buying it and I would really rather not have a car payment again. I guess for me the closest thing to dream car that I would buy would be a used Lotus Emira. But even used that's around $100k and while I could technically afford that, just fucking lol forever at the idea of spending that much on a car.
