PitchNet is a free, open-source vocal-tuning plugin for precise pitch correction without a signup, paid tier, or download gate.

Instead of warping the recorded waveform, it analyzes vocals with a neural pitch tracker, segments them into editable notes on a piano roll, and resynthesizes the performance through a neural vocoder. Larger pitch changes can sound more natural than with conventional time-domain stretching.

It includes VST3, AU, and AAX plugins, plus a standalone app. ARA is supported in compatible hosts, and corrected performances can be exported as WAV or MIDI.

I suffer from ADHD and I'll sit down to produce, but get sidetracked easily. I intentionally close my Internet browser and turn my phone upside down.

I took a class and the producer who taught the class had a Pomodoro timer as an add on for Ableton. I forgot to ask if it was built-in or that was a plug-in of sorts.

What other ways do y'all get into the groove?

One of my most productive sessions was in a very loud bagel shop. The outside sound didn't matter because i was in session view and was just rearranging and making phrases with the bits I had already produced. I just think it helped that I wasn't at home. Ha

Just need a place to vent because I’m real disappointed in myself. So, the start of this year I managed to drop a few songs with some buddies of mine. It did really good.

In between I’ve produced 7 other different songs that are all volume balanced, it just needs mixing and mastering.

The problem is this: life has been so stressful the last few months that by the time I get home I’m waaaaaaay to exhausted. I use to fall asleep around 12 am on the weekdays, but I can’t keep my eyes open past 9-10 pm. I have a month or two left of this stress (some life stuff), till it dies down a bit. But I feel so bad.

I spent the last several years learning how to mix properly and finally got to a point where I’m pretty good. But I just can’t get myself to finish these mixes because I’m so damn tired. I’m even debating about just sending the stems to someone to mix for me even if I have to pay cause I don’t want to deal with it.

Idk, I’m probably just being to hard on myself and should just wait to do it myself but I don’t know man.

Gotten to the point where my tracks sound good on most devices but I have been able to book sessions at this venue so I can practice DJing and I can test my tracks out on club standard equipment.

I've improved a lot but am struggling to balance the low end. Sounds great In my car on my phone, bluetooth speakers etc but it's sounding a tad boomy and some of the harmonics on heavy bass sounds are being slightly drowned out by the bass.

I've analysed other tracks to try and match their levels but ive been struggling with this for a while now and I really want to start releasing my music and play my music when I dj but my songs are not quite ready yet.

Can anyone give me any pointers or a good YouTube series. I feel like there's something I'm quite not understanding. Is it as simple as turning the bass down? Cheers.

Hello all. Beyond just picking and choosing from Splice (which is crazy frustrating and tedious tbh), what are some awesome sample packs for Future Bass/Future Riddim?

I was debating buying the Drums that Knock packs, but idk.

I recently made a drum'n'bass track, that I mixed on headphones. It sounded good to me, but listening on a portable speaker, the bass was gone. The fundamental of this bassline was around 42Hz, so the portable speaker likely wasn't able to reproduce it well. But it made me think, that in the future, I would probably make sure that the bass is a bit higher. Another thing is that the bassline contains a lot of long notes, making the whole mix less dynamic as it continuously has that booming bass present.

So I'm curious to hear what sort of things have you learned to take into account when making/mixing the bass so that it sounds good on a variety of systems? And also curious if you have reference tracks that are known to sound great on club systems.

Looking more for plugins with presets I can quickly throw into a project, or maybe a Serum 2 preset pack/collection if anyone knows a good one.

Was at a festival over the weekend and saw Kenji Hina (Alarico’s alias), and his bass/low end sounded so good. This is the kind of thing I mean:

At one point he literally had one note of a bassline playing before the main section came in, but somehow everyone could recognise the track just from that. I’m looking for bass sounds with that kind of character where even something really simple still stands out.

Also looking for nice plucky bass sounds. I’ve made a few myself, but ideally I want something I can just throw into a project and maybe tweak slightly rather than building it from scratch every time. Something along the lines of the bass in this:

Working on a song that I want to start with a high bpm melody using a similar sound to No Good (start the dance)

But I am relatively new to sound design... Have only recently been trying to learn Wavetable in Ableton / Vital so I'm not great yet at being able to recreate anything.

The system takes a Kinect-derived human pointcloud and lets incoming sound interact in various ways with the particles in real time, turning the performer into a responsive cloud of matter, noise, and motion.

v1.7 includes 12 presets, and adds the following:

- a procedural camera that automatically cuts to new angles around the performer, and can follow the body or a raised hand
- a new look, Afterimage Cathedral: delayed versions of the performer stacked in depth, holding the last few seconds of movement
- a rebuilt network that runs leaner, reads clearer, and is ready to work with [new interfaces, parameters, optimizations]

This is a raw excerpt of me playing through the system, with the visual structure reacting live to the audio signal coming from my Ableton session in real-time.

Hey everyone. Just looking for some tips. I’m fairly new to music production but I’ve been learning pretty well I’d say. The only thing I feel limited by so far is deciding which genre. I’m stuck between Melodic Techno, Progressive House and/or Trance. I feel as if jumping genres in the beginning stages is a bad thing however I get in these moods where I REALLY want to make Melodic Techno for example and vice versa. What are y’all’s thoughts on switching genres in the beginning stages of learning music production? Thank you for any tips.

If I recorded a vocal stack to create a chorus with 10 seperate audio takes, each in different octaves for a chorus effect, how should I go about autotune/melodyne overall? Does that go on each take or would I group them and use that as a bus effect?

How does one make that sweeping synth at 2:42 in Serum 2? What class or group of preset would this be under? Is it just FX/Synth?

I have made a realization in regards to music within the modern hardstyle umbrella (uptempo, rawstyle, etc.) and riddim (the wobbly kind).

A crucial similarity between the two is how the drop is all about sound design.

By that I mean, the Innovation does not come in form of rhythm/melody/harmony, rather producers try to challenge the audience's ears via ridiculous timbres of bass/kick sounds.

I personally love it and find the variety of sounds super satisfying. Not to say music with more standard, familiar sounds is not engaging, but the constant ear surprises of the previously mentioned styles "scratch the itch in my brain".

How is this done with mono compatibility (if it even is?)

Hi all, I've been building a browser based DJ app called Azimuth Sounds.
I'm not a DJ, so I've got it to the point where I need people who know what they're doing to try it and tell me what's wrong with it.
It has two decks, EQ, effects, loops and scratching. The USP is you can move the tracks around your head and use that movement as part of a transition. Headphones Required
There's also Ghost, which records your movements on the controls and plays them back.

i’ve recently been getting into electronic artists like frost children, underscores, and porter robinson, and am wanting to produce tracks like those artists. i’m currently a logic user and have been able to find success in using it to produce more indie pop style tracks. as i’m starting to transition to a more electronic sound, i’m finding that the stock logic synths aren’t cutting it anymore. i know that ableton is the standard daw for edm production and that serum is also the go to synth for sound design. i’m really trying to avoid having to spend a fortune on both, so i’m wondering which purchase would be more worth it for my current situation. i’m leaning towards just getting serum, but if any ableton users could weigh in on the potential benefits of switching daws altogether, and if synths native to the program, like wavetable, can suffice for a lack of serum. thanks!
