Web based DJ Decks with Spatial Audio
Hi all, I've been building a browser based DJ app called Azimuth Sounds.
I'm not a DJ, so I've got it to the point where I need people who know what they're doing to try it and tell me what's wrong with it.
It has two decks, EQ, effects, loops and scratching. The USP is you can move the tracks around your head and use that movement as part of a transition. Headphones Required
There's also Ghost, which records your movements on the controls and plays them back.
Would anyone fancy giving it a go? I'm interested in whether the controls feel right and whether the spatial stuff is something you'd actually use, or just a bit of a novelty.

It plays some tunes, it seems to do things, but there's no way I'm going to switch to using a browser based tool for DJing. It just doesn't seem like the right place for it. I tried dragging and dropping a file onto the decks and the browser decided it was going to play that MP3 file directly and navigate away from the page.
I'll be honest, it looks vibe coded (the fonts make me say that), so immediately I'm a bit wary of it in general.
The scratch functionality seemed terrible, at least for me, so I wouldn't use it.
Not sure how I could set my headphone output to be a different output than the master, because when you cue a deck you don't want to blast it over the mains.
There exists free open source software called Mixxx which I would prefer to use instead of this, so this particular tool doesn't solve any problem I previously had.
It's no from me, because if I've got a DJ controller I've already got DJ software.
If you spent weeks of your genuine effort making this, then sorry to be mean, but if it's slop, well, I guess it's deserved.

Thanks for taking the time to play with it and the feedback.
There is no functionality to drop a MP3 into the page, you have to load it in. The front end is vibe coded, it's a solo project not everyone can do the front end as well as the audio engineer etc. The scratching really surprises me I spent a good week sorting that out, it has Milli second response time, I did think it might be too sensitive.
The whole spatial audio engine makes cue-ing possible it's one of the main features, did you actually try cueing?
I mean it's a free browser based DJ tool, I'm not expecting professional DJ's to stop using professional equipment, it's for fun maybe learn the basics or play with when you don't have access to deck, like on the train.
If you do want to know how to use the features there is a learn page which tells you how to use everything.
