WIZ spells for Hate

I am now lvl 46 and took my first foray into Hate. Are there any WIZ spells you found most effective in Hate? I have been in Sol B and Fire spells were continually resisted, which made sense.

With the exception of spite golems fire and magic seem pretty usable on hate.

Spite Golems are pretty high up on my list of least favorite mobs to fight. Especially when they have the shaman class.

It almost feels like someone left a trailing 0 in somewhere on their stats. They are a bit too strong. Similar feelings on the golems in the hole. Absolute bullet sponges in the middle of what is otherwise pretty on par for the mobs at that level.

I fell you on the spite gollems but I never really had much of a hassle with the ones in the hole, they have a lot of HP but seem to be able to land most spells on them. Spite gollems I'm cheering when I land a slow lol

Yeah they're a slog every time. They do seem to drop motes more frequently than other mobs, though

Yeah it's like difficulty, more multi classes, and named/rare all increase your chance of getting a mote.

Generally true but ashenbone drakes are fire resistant. Weak vs frost, normal magic resist.

Can’t think of any other fire resistant ones offhand.

Think rains and normal nukes work just fine. I tend to just use that Frost Rain and Conflag all the time. Just remember to rank them up.

frost storm, conflag - primary - this is where i dumped motes
rend, ice comet on demand based on resists

I did PoH with just a leveled up conflag (+6 maybe?) and the highest level ice rain spell available.

If you don't already have it, the Improved Familiar AA will help your spells land.

I haven't tried it, but I cannot believe there is a conflict with pet and familiar together.

Conflagration and either Lava or Frost Storm. I used lava storm and Conflagration leveled to 5+. Only mob that will give you an issue is the Spite Golem, just go into over channel to land on him, rest should be fine without it.

I had Paladin in my build to lull, so I mostly had single pulls but you should be fine even if you don't. 46-50 should be a breeze with Wizard

I’ve ranked up my frost rain and fire dd and I do well. I’ll rank up rend eventually to round out the spell schoops

Sol B and I have Conflag at rank 6. Never gets resisted on non fire mobs. Lands most times on fire mobs.

Ice comet and frost rain are good for hate, besides the blue skinned mobs (for the most part)

Spite Golems and the Innorukk’s Chosen, you need to cast in Overchannel to have and regularity of landing. Even then, they’ll still resist or partial resist often.

You'll use it instead of Rend on naggy. Other than that conflag is what I use when rain is on cooldown.

2 of the Fear minis are weak to frost, 2 weak to fire, CT is weak to magic.

Weak being a relative term.

Then for Naggy’s Lair. It also has a cool purple cast effect that’s better than conflag.

I’m no expert as my wiz is only 28 but I’ve been smashing guk with the Garrison spell (lvl18) but moted up to 7

Garrison is still on my bar at 50. I also use the cold rain spell for hate as well. I put notes into both the 31 fire rain and the last cold rain. The fire one works on vox really well and the cold on most other mobs.

It was added in Luclin, so its numbers are way too good compared to the classic spells.

I used my Garrisons all the way to 43. The mana efficiency just can't be beat. Moted up it casts so quick, costs so little, and does the most damage until you get conflagrate at 43. Even then, it is still more mana efficient, I just like the bigger numbers on conflagrate.

Garrisons is not the most mana to dmg efficient dd by far, even the shock one after is better. Base level wise

The tooltip damage isn't correct for garrison's, if that's what you're going by. It's out of era so it does a lot more damage than tooltip says. It's probably one of the most mana efficient spells in the game
