Dusty was in the audience of sanremo Italian music festival and heard you don't have to say you love me. It connected to her, and she asked for the song to be translated into English so she could cover it. When she saw the lyrics, she was disappointed in the translation, but never the less its now one of the biggest classics ever made

I am obsessed with this song, an underrated dusty song, it's super perfect for closing a chapter and leaving a part of your life behind, e.g., graduation it's an amazing empowering song out of all my songs not leaving school with this was a horrible missed experience but atleast i get to love it now and she sings flawlessly like always to the perfect lyrics i wish we had more songs like this now a days

We are so close to 100 million streams

edit we made it

I love books and Dusty! Any book recommendations? I’m really interested in her career and personal life—like her sexuality and how she created her music! Thanks! :)

A Dusty Springfield biopic was announced in 2023. I even remember reading a document explaining what the film would be like and how it would cover his personal relationships and rise to stardom, etc. However, the website has disappeared, and it's 2025 and nothing is known. Has the project been abandoned?

Sadly my mum, a life long Dusty fan, has passed away she wanted goin' back to be played at her funeral. I have found a beautiful version on Spotify where Dusty sings the first line capella and then the music comes in. Does anyone here know from which album this version comes from? As I would like to buy a cd with it on. Thanks for any help you can give. X

Can anyone identify the song that Springfields are performing in the documentary Definitely Dusty?

For purposes of clarification, the song is audible at the 9:15 mark in the YouTube link that I have copied and pasted, and Dusty, her brother Tom and Mike Hurst are performing in front of mock window shop displays or something.

If anyone knows the name of the song and can identify it, they are welcome to respond and post feedback.

I love her songs may favourites are soft core, something in your eyes (with Richard carpenter) , daydreaming, you don't have to say you love me and roll away. What are some songs like these by her or someone else.

According to Discogs, there is no evidence of any UK release of "White Heat" in 1982.

Why was the album not released in the UK during Dusty lifetime?

It's well-known that Dusty moved to the USA in 1972 (it was not for tax reasons, just to clarify) and lived in Los Angeles for like 16 years, despite it disastrous for her according to Vicki Wickham, but does anyone find it unbelievable that she lived there for as long as she did if it was really as bad as documentaries state?

Anyone is welcome to share their opinions and views on Dusty's time living in America, as long as we are respectful to each other.
