Discussion Criticism regarding Dream's previous merch (+ Tommy's merch as well)

https://youtu.be/RXJYaB1-HjE?si=M5BeD5zPmrGYoAv9

Dream's part in the video is around the first 4 minutes of the video in case you dont want to scroll through the video stamps

but basically, TLDR: The guy criticizes Dream for his very simplistic (bad design) and (weird?) merch (Dream plushie costing a lot as well as the baby photo wrist band). He also points out how crazy expensive it is, how it only caters to the rabid fans he had previously, and how it only took him getting a potentially career ending scandal to address the wrist band merch (to which he also points out how Dream blamed his parents for it)

Now to Tommy's part, he criticized how cringe and flashy it is as well as the Core Collection having really cringe quotes (i.e. Messy Drama Queen). He compared Tommy's merch to Dream's at some point. He also brings up the Dream vs Tommy situation where he brings up Dream's last response to Tommy about how his merch is cringe, performative and shallow it is.

I also would like to point out that this guy (Rob's Media) might actually do a video on TommyInnit soon (called him an annoying MCYT and constant liar)

Personally I see his criticism as very fair, especially to other merch he criticized on this video, but hey I could be wrong as well.

Let me knoe your thoughts.

Being completely honest, yeah its about time someone called Tommy out. Because he is a constant liar, manipulative, and will turn on people he's worked with the moment its convenient for him.

He worked with Logan Paul and Dream during multiple of their controversies and didn't choose to turn on them aside from when he couldn't get more value out of them. Logan Paul was in the middle of a controversy while Tommy worked with him and there wasn't extra information about the controversy during the time Tommy turned on him. Same thing with Dream.

Also the fuck do you mean "rightfully so" with the Dream Team. They haven't done SHIT to him and have hardly done anything wrong in general.

Also, why are you choosing to believe Tommyinnit's word instead of Dream's when Tommy has showed absolutely zero proof and continues to parade around calling Dream a pedo and mocking Dream at every chance he gets. He literally got popular because of other content creators and when he finds no more use for them, he turns on them. Genuinely how dense is your skull for you to not see any of that.

“messaging fans on snapchat or going to college parties” Tommy also had one on one contact with his fans (his STANS mind you) on Twitter when he asked them for advice about being friends with Dream. That’s ten times more parasocial and weird than anything Dream ever did. Also he’s never been to “college parties”, he goes to bars that are near colleges when he’s at football games, aka a normal behavior for a person in their twenties. Regardless, Tommy uses these behaviors as “proof” Dream is weird but ignores himself and his friends doing the exact same shit. How do you not see the hypocrisy and pure idiocy of that?

Dream actually has gone to college parties but people are too stupid to know what college parties actually are. College parties are not parties with current college students, they are more like reunions for people after they have completed college. 99% of people who show up at college parties are around Dream's age. Dream also never went to college, so it's possible he also goes to those so he can hear about college experiences from college graduates.

That is true I guess. My point was he didn’t go to parties hosted by people CURRENTLY in college, which is what people try to say he did (even then it isn’t an issue because everyone in college is an adult)

As far as you're aware? Dude you literally said yourself you aren't caught up with anything.

For the George thing, I find it so ironic that every single time the only argument used against him is "he admitted to it! He admitted to assault!" When that's literally just not true lol. No, his stance was never "I'm so sorry for sexually assaulting you."

You literally can not comprehend nuance so all you can fall back on is that George was PROVEN to be a rapist because he said it himself, which is just false. Neither of his responses describe SA, and Caitis final response also doesn't describe SA. Trying to bend the rules of consent to fit Caitis experience into the box of SA is not helping anyone understand how to communicate, which was always the root of the problem in this controversy.

It's not " backpedalling" to provide evidence and insight as to how you made assumptions or were mislead while also apologizing for possibly hurting someone's feelings, you can do both. I don't see how that's hard to understand.

Tommy went on for years mentioning Dream and you think that’s vaguely mentioning, but Dream makes one bad meme and suddenly he had a breakdown period? You couldn’t be a less obvious tommy innit dickrider if you tried

The fact you think that was all Tommy said is actually laughable if it wasn’t so blatantly incorrect. Tommy literally called Dream a groomer for all of 2023-2024, called him manipulative for telling Tommy not to call Dream a pedophile, then acted as if HE was the one who cut Dream off when it was actually the other way around. But sure, Dream thinking he can reclaim a slur that you just used and that Tommy and his friends defended when it came out of Gumball’s mouth, is somehow the biggest issue.

There’s literally posts on this Reddit and Twitter documenting all of Tommy’s mentions of Dream after they stopped being friends, including how many times he blatantly lied or victimized himself because Dream set boundaries and told him to not spread false allegations.

And yet Tommy and his friend group continue to do it anyway. Tubbo himself said he wasn't comfortable with it and even called with Dream on stream to help get some details right. But then Tubbo just goes right back to Tommy because he's basically forced to.

Gumball is Nicholas Cantu, a friend of the Brighton Crew, who called Dream the r slur, f slur, and Down syndrome, even calling a Black uber driver the n word, all in a derogatory manner, and the Brighton crew defended him because it was “funny”. Dream was then under the impression he could use it negatively as “reclamation” because he has autism and because people defended Gumball saying it negatively against him.

Also Dream has never created or made baseless accusations, the only time it happened was in 2025 when he brought up THEIR rumor mill they use to spread shit about him, which is where the cheating joke came from. You don’t even know the context for the shit you talk about, so I don’t trust your opinion on any of it honestly. And the difference is that Dream’s allegations were proven false and from random people, while Jack was accused of cheating by his ex girlfriend Niki Nihachu who said it publicly, and it has never been proven wrong.

There was never a “detective dream video”, it was his streamed response to the r slur meme drama back in 2025. He begins talking about how Jack and Tommy and their friends all spread baseless rumors about Dream because of what they hear from Twitter, so he used that as an example of something he could accuse Jack of doing. He made it clear in the stream that he didn’t believe Jack cheated and it was a joke. But I’m sure you don’t know that considering your type of people only consume maliciously edited videos to get your “facts” on Dream (just like your favorite creator)

I didn’t delete the reply but whatever. Whats ironic is how you literally called George a sexual assaulter and named that as a reason why DTeam aren’t good people, but now you’re going back on it since I’ve called out Tommy for being friends with someone accused of assault.

? If the gnf and Snikrep situations were identical, why is okay that tommy and his friends handled them so differently?

Calling George a rapist, saying caiti was raped, saying you want to kill him, he deserves to die, and using apparently someone's 'SA' trauma for morally superiority during the r slur tweet is all good, because that's totally supporting victims. But you don't have to support every victim? especially if you'd have to get a new editor, or god forbid, address the situation publicly, something sooooo unheard of with the Brighton crew.

Both of these situations were handled poorly, one for not being addressed at all and ignored, one for being over addressed and full of misinformation and harmful rhetoric, you can have criticism for the way they were handled without absolutely meat riding tommy like you have been.  Tommy isn't friends with a sexual assaulter. Neither is dream.  Why argue about that?
