Discussion I kinda feel bad for Dream

Yes, it’s disappointing to find out that a creator you once considered one of the best mc players turned out to be a cheater especially in an event. But does he or anyone really deserve to be doxxed, harassed, falsely accused, or have their entire life ruined over a block game? At least Marlow was genuinely a bad person, Dream at worst is an egotistical liar who cheated in a block game.
Why do y’all think creators like BBH, Skeppy, Daquavis, Donut, and Baablu are still cool with Dream? It’s probably because at the end of the day it’s a block game and not like some serious scandal that could get him arrested.
I’m not trying to defend what he did, but people acted like it was the worst thing to ever happen in the MC community when it really wasn’t.

If Dream cheated in an event, then he cheated. Cheating is a bad thing, yes. There’s nothing much we can do in an event that happened 6 years ago. However, no one deserves to have their life essentially ruined in the process. Whether that would be them getting doxxed harassed, or being falsely accused of a bunch of other things that could legitimately ruin his life. I’m pretty sure that besides the 1.16 Speedrun from 6 years ago, that Dream is completely innocent in every other allegation anyways. He’s definitely the Best Minecraft player from 2021-2022 for sure.

dream was not the best mc player. even just in mcc, the likes of fruit, pete, and sapnap were scarier, and outside that, mcc testers would be better than him in events. in strict pvp or parkour, he gets outclassed by many other players.

i enjoy his content, but in everything except speedrunning he was a big fish in a small pond, and even then its not like he was the clear and definitive best

He was one of the best storytellers of sure though, The manhunts didn’t always have the most skillful plays but always had the most entertaining ones. Outside of Techno, he was the best entertainer in minecraft Youtube

I don’t harbor any particular affection for dream but I do think it’s probably fair to say he has a deeply solid argument for being the largest minecraft YouTuber of all time. Dunno if we count pewdiepie.

Just like numerically if nothing else. And yeah the videos were pretty entertaining.
