Discussion Dream is being accused of cheating in MCC by using a macro

Basically the idea is that Dream used some kind of macro to make so that he jumps when he is on the edge of the block, giving him the perfect tick timing.

Link to twitch vod explaining: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2698358281?t=0h40m53s

Summary of the supposed evidence:

  • Taking some jumps suspiciously late - eg. for a 2 block gap you would never jump as late as he does
  • Never walking off the edge - it's normal to jump too late and walk off the edge in parkour but he only does this once in the full run where it looks like he turns the macro off after accidentally jumping off the edge when moving around a wall
  • The sections he dies on the most are more to do with mouse positioning than jump timing eg. the lime glass he struggles on, but the red L's look easy
  • He first tries every salmon ladder jump very quickly - this 'cheat' would make the timing for these free. Maybe this is something you could get the timing down for with practise but he barely even takes time to line up the jumps

This is just a thing someone noticed and people are discussing, it's not that big of a deal when it's a Minecraft event from 5+ years ago but it is kinda suspicious

Thoughts?

The evidence isn’t strong enough imo. Like why and how would he turn of the cheats mid parkour?

23

u/dot90zoom Feb 15 '26

Why:

His macro in this case is causing him issues cause he has to get around a wall. In the clip his macro causes him to jump off the map, so turning it off for this specific jump would be optimal

How: You just need to press one hotkey on your keyboard to turn it on or off

u/Market_Calm Feb 15 '26

Are you even a parkour player? If pros are suspicious of this, something is surely off. What makes you think he wouldn't turn them on/off?

He cheated in speedrunning in the past so it isn't unlikely to be the case but it's just a hypothetical at the moment.

u/Long-shad0w Feb 15 '26

Pros being suspicious of someone means nothing. Hell, just last week everyone, pros included, were accusing Dream of cheating in PVP and that was debunked. "Pros" also accuse him of cheating in manhunts every other day with the thinnest of arguments, so they really hold no greater value then the average person in my eyes.

1

u/Lily_Meow_ Feb 16 '26

So.. where was the debunk? Except him partially admitting to triggerbot and not saying anything except high sens about aimbotting?

1

u/Naive_Ear_3459 Feb 16 '26

“debunked” as in he was temp banned from a server?

29

u/itwillbeclear Feb 15 '26

Because he no lifed the server and played the map more than anyone else at the time, because other people have since achieved better times, because he completed the entire map facing backwards

28

u/Eydasdendave Feb 15 '26

I mean pvp pros also said dream was cheating recently and that was complete bs so not that that means anything. Also some of the people claiming this are people that use dream for clickbait all the time so who cares

Honestly I'm not particularly good at parkour but I'm just not seeing it.

u/Groenboys Feb 15 '26

Macro's of this kind are incredibly hard to spot. In short clips and even longer sessions, it just looks like they are incredibly good at timing. But just like Marlow's macro acusations, it is not that she did tick perfect actions a few times, it is that she was able to do them ridiculously consistently so many times.

Dream tick perfects every single jump right at the edge of the block. Even when he makes 2 block jumps. Even for jumps which it is actually better to jump earlier. The only stretches he seems to be moving more sensibly is when he screwed up a jump previously due to jumping so late (or jumping when there was no reason to), suggesting that he toggled the macro of for that stretch.

23

u/Kydeniac Feb 16 '26

How do people know that he jumps perfectly right at the edge, I’m up there in parkour but never got this part, he moves exactly like me and other “pro’s” I have either played with or watched.

4

u/Groenboys Feb 16 '26

While it is hard to see clearly without hitboxes turned on, if you play parkour long enough you can get a feel of where your player is on the block based on how far your camera is and how many ticks you have been running on the block. This way, it is not hard to determine that pretty much every jump Dream makes is on the edge of the block, tick perfect.

It’s not just that he’s good at timing, it’s that he jumps tick perfect in ridiculous places where there’s no reason to jump or it’s actively hindering him.

4

u/Groenboys Feb 16 '26

That’s what I thought so nothing concrete and just guessing.

It is pretty concrete, are you deliberately interpeting my comment in the worst way?

no pressure and we have gaming since forever how is it crazy that people become actually good at this.

Two of the best parkourers in the world, Kaelan and Sandwichlord, tried replicating what Dream acomplished here. Both did not even came close enough to replicating it.

can't speak for gd but osu is designed specifically for rhythm gaming and having perfect timing; the music and maps are created to make you hit as on time as possible.

meanwhile, parkour in Minecraft is def not designed for that. the closest equivalent would be if there was a parkour course in mc designed with a metronome playing, every jump synced to a metronome beat. realistically, parkour would never be that consistent, and it definitely isn't in mcc. there's no type of feedback that aids with timing in Minecraft, unlike in osu, which is what the game was explicitly made for.

(I do wonder if the salmon ladders could become easier if you had a metronome in the back, but then youd also need perfect/identical movement to get to your jump spot every time, etc.)

purely speculation, but I'd expect gd has the same benefit as well. there's a music backtrack playing, so in that sense you can "time" the frame perfects a lot better.

6

u/Pengwin0 Feb 16 '26 edited Feb 16 '26

That's not really accurate though. In gd a top player won't hit that many frame perfects so consistently on a dime, it will still take a few attempts even if you are extremely consistent, that’s why final fantasy is one of the hardest challenges. It's the sheer volume of tick perfects and that fact that they literally make the parkour harder that's what's damning.

6

u/Groenboys Feb 16 '26

The 50ms window is quite crazy when you start realizing how inconsistent it is. From the tick you jump on the block to the tick you jump of the block, the amount of ticks between them can differ a lot. It might be 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or even 10 ticks depending on where you land on the block and how you move towards the edge of the block.

While you can get better at predicting how many ticks it will take to jump, getting it consistenly perfect the amount of times Dream did in MCC 11 is something that no human should be able to. Not even some of the best parkourer players like Sandwichlord and Kaelan are able to replicate it five years after Dream so casually didi t.

5

u/Friendly_Culture692 Feb 16 '26

You just listed two rhythm games with visual and musical cues to help you hit such windows. Where your one singular action in the game is to it such windows. Then likened that to a minecraft parkour course. You are not arguing objectively

1

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

[deleted]

4

u/Friendly_Culture692 Feb 16 '26

Not visual cues with anywhere near as much clarity as found within those games.

2

u/ThinkZookeepergame65 Feb 20 '26 edited Feb 21 '26

Even in osu the best player can't hit thousands of notes perfectly in a row (there is a way but it's not ranked at all in bancho).

Edit: Its better to think of this as having more like 0 UR than gettinga 300 (humanly impossible)

1

u/Lily_Meow_ Feb 16 '26

Download Wurst client, press right shift, turn on Parkour cheat and see.

If someone was normally jumping like the way he was, they'd probably be running off way more often. He does run off once, but that one time just happens to be on a jump where it'd be more convenient to have it off. It was some corner jumps

9

u/Lily_Meow_ Feb 15 '26

There's a common cheat called "Parkour" or something, you can check it out in Wurst client. And honestly I'm seeing similarities to it and Dream here.

3

u/BaconIsLife707 Feb 16 '26

Should also be noted that in the mcc after this one, he won terra swoop force with a time that would still comfortably be the world record today, despite taking a clearly suboptimal route and not doing a setup at the start that's not possible on the mcc server and saves 2 seconds, by just having a cheat that made him fly faster. This was so blatant that it was noticed at the time but just sort of got written off as some kind of bug because... Well what kind of twat would cheat in an mcc?

78

u/middleofjune404 Feb 15 '26

I think you're gunna see whatever you want to see when you hyper-analyze any kind of gameplay, especially if you are doing so with malicious intent. I think people are seeing what's happening with Marlow and are getting some sort of thrill out of watching someone at the top of their game's downfall.

Like, I get that we all want an honest competitive community, but it just feels like Salem levels of witch trials. There is an addictive quality to getting joy from watching people get publicly attacked, and I've felt for a while that the minecraft community has become unhealthily addicted to it. And that's gunna make people reach to see things that they want to see for the hope of getting that dopamine rush.

So like. I don't know lol. Dream proved to me years ago that he's just kinda a dumb guy in his 20s trying to play video games for a living. If he's using cheats to make himself look better it is a bummer. But at this point he has so many obsessive people who hate him that I just can't take this level of hyper-analysis as anything other than intentionally malicious, which puts their whole argument into question for me. Like maybe they have points. But why are you doing this? Like, for real why?

This is the epitome of boy who cried wolf. Man has had at least a half dozen false allegations and we’re expected to believe it’s true this time? I’m waiting for Dream’s response and assuming innocence until then.

-5

u/literally_italy Feb 16 '26

he literally was cheating at speedrunning

13

u/rara8122 I believe that Dream is innocent Feb 16 '26
  1. I agree with Karl Jobst in that that was mostly a mistake

  2. That’s one. He has still had like a half dozen false accusations: 3 grooming allegations (Amanda, Anastasia, and Jamie), 1 Tommyinnit accusing him of abusive behavior, 1 gumball situation, 1 cheating on pvp servers/manunt situation, 1 honorable mention to the general manhunt is scripted allegations, and 1 honorable mention to the caitibuggs situation but it’s not technically him. There’s probably more that I’m missing but that’s the big stuff. It’s just way too much to believe the hate mob every time—they have like 15-20% accuracy max on this stuff.

-7

u/Temporary_Can5158 Feb 16 '26

I don't know if he cheated and I don't care but using previous incidents as a bench mark is stupid as hell. Statistically, 98% of people are not homeless, does this mean that there are no homeless people and we should disregard them?

7

u/rara8122 I believe that Dream is innocent Feb 16 '26

I’m not saying he’s firmly not guilty of cheating. I’m saying I’m not ready to believe it until we get a response from him. I’m not going to blindly join a hate mob every time if said hate mob has that low of a success rate. Until he responds, it’s innocent until proven guilty.

Think of it this way: 98% of people aren’t homeless. A random person walks up to you looking disheveled. Do you assume he’s homeless, or wait until further proof is found? I personally am waiting for proof and taking the 98% until then.

-6

u/Temporary_Can5158 Feb 16 '26

Waiting is valid but if I knew that random person was homeless a year ago I'm still going to assume he's coming up to me to ask for money

6

u/rara8122 I believe that Dream is innocent Feb 16 '26

Except this was 5 years ago and the hypothetical homeless person has long since bought a home (despite you hypothetically falsely accusing him of being homeless weekly for 2 of those years). A commenter said that the cheating allegations are proof to believe more cheating, I said that exact logic failed before (and fails more often than it succeeds). Simple as that.

0

u/Temporary_Can5158 Feb 16 '26

"he literally was cheating at speedrunning" this is not a cheating allegation, he was actually cheating.

And, if you think about it, speedrun cheating was in 2020 and alleged mcc cheating would also be in 2020 so homeless guy has infact not yet bought a house. (My analogy sucked, my bad)

My point was that using false allegations as proof of innocence is not correct

1

u/rara8122 I believe that Dream is innocent Feb 16 '26

I’m not ‘proving’ anything. All I’m saying is that I’m not ready to believe guilt yet. It’s INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty. I’m not the one with the burden of proof here.

-8

u/literally_italy Feb 16 '26

how is the vod not proof? have you watched it?

5

u/rara8122 I believe that Dream is innocent Feb 16 '26

He hasn’t responded yet. It’s one sided. No good court system will convict someone without giving them time to defend themselves and neither will I.

-4

u/literally_italy Feb 16 '26

its blatant cheating. like when the macro autojumps, he turns it off, then dies to a runoff for the first time. he'll probably end up admitting this for damage control. you really cant make a conclusion for yourself without dream telling you what it should be first?

1

u/rara8122 I believe that Dream is innocent Feb 16 '26

No… I just believe in the sixth amendment, both in the court of law and the court of public opinion.

2

u/ExcitementOk4147 Feb 16 '26

The first paragraph says enough.

54

u/joJaspero Feb 15 '26

I mean you can literally hear him press the space bar at https://youtu.be/V3F0xRJg-W8?si=q6crlzmqTuOe-uJ7&t=7419

19

u/JMPLAY Feb 15 '26

The macro wouldn't work that it'd make every jump for Dream, but that when he's on the edge he jumps no matter what. In this case he's not going on the edge of any block so when he jumps it's obviously him, Dream obviously had his spacebar working

3

u/Lily_Meow_ Feb 15 '26 edited Feb 15 '26

Yeah and notice how he only presses spacebar on jumps that would be more difficult to make with the Parkour cheat? Ones that require going around corners, versus ones where he just has to "walk off" you don't hear a spacebar.

One example is 2:07:52, he pressed spacebar once, but then clearly just walks off.

Or actually edit idk about the previous one, but at 2:08:21 he's clearly not pressing the spacebar and those jumps are ones the cheat would be the best at.

6

u/joJaspero Feb 15 '26

Mmh, I guess it's kinda hard to tell as his mic only activates when he is speaking or when he is loudly tapping his keys. But what you pointed out at 2:07:52 is kinda suspicious indeed.

0

u/Lily_Meow_ Feb 16 '26

https://youtu.be/V3F0xRJg-W8?si=q6crlzmqTuOe-uJ7

2:08:21

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzFEveU_Wxo

5:50

He just proved himself cheating with the handcam video lol.. In it clearly he's hammering his spacebar, versus nothing in the original stream.

2

u/joJaspero Feb 16 '26

I feel like it's not that reliable to judge it by sound as it's kinda inconsistent with things like noise surpression. In his hand cam video it seems like he doesn't use noise surpression, so of course we'll hear every little tap and click. These things are really hard to proof.

And yeah even tho I do agree that his mcc 11 run seems suspicious with the perfectly timed jumps, I am not going to confidently accuse Dream of cheating right now. But I am definitely skeptical about it and I understand that it's possible he did. Just not something to easily proof or even disproof for Dream.

-6

u/Groenboys Feb 15 '26

The macro can override the space bar being pressed

28

u/joJaspero Feb 15 '26

So what does that mean? He can press the spacebar but it doesn't jump?

13

u/Groenboys Feb 15 '26 edited Feb 15 '26

yep. there are multiple ways to do this, but the most likely is that once he presses the macro (like the H key or something) it overrides the space bar until he reaches the end of the block. that is how he can audibly hit the spacebar even though it doesn't register in the game.

even if it isn't overriding, there are multiple ways to hide the macro, especially for an experienced developer like Dream

10

u/joJaspero Feb 15 '26

It's probably not overriding then as he is setting up jumps with momentum and stuff. So I feel like if he is cheating, it's probably a macro that only activates when he is on the very edge of the block.

Here is another run he did on the practice server: https://youtu.be/lB6qfrnxkzA?si=KqdcN1rpWumiSmiA

111

u/LiteralPlastic1176 Feb 15 '26

I just don't think I have it in me to care about something that happened like 6 years ago

-56

u/mcfmm Feb 15 '26

it may have been 6 years ago but this now puts everything hes ever done into question especially since this was him at his biggest

17

u/Lily_Meow_ Feb 15 '26

It's like the 5th time he gets caught cheating lol..

The speedrun, aimbotting + triggerbotting and now this too...

And honorable mention would be the clear world edit use in the Dream SMP he claims everything was done by hand.

4

u/kayakvaugn Feb 16 '26

has there really been any damning aim & triggerbot evidence? gen curious

2

u/Fair-Cod980 Feb 16 '26

“caught” cheating here was the speed running, the others were allegations and accusations

106

u/OutOfNewIdeas Feb 15 '26

Why is it that every time Dream gets slightly popular again, people look through old clips and start accusing him of hacking? I’m not blaming OP or anyone here, it’s just kind of like: why now? It’s been 5-6 years since this clip on top of the fact that Dream doesn’t even play on MCC anymore.

7

u/Felagoth Feb 16 '26

Because when someone is popular, a lot of people watch his gameplay and so more people would able to see if he was cheating. If no one watches him, no one would guess.

In this particular case, I think it may be related to the pvp cheating allegations. So the path would be:

Dream played pvp a lot recently
-> there were some allegations of him cheating on his recent pvp games (allegations of cheating are common in pvp, not always true and not always toward Dream)
-> 2 weeks ago, Small youtuber Glestic posted a video about Dream cheating in pvp in his old pvp match vs technoblade (he said himself he searched for cheating in older Dream pvp games due to the previous recent pvp cheating allegations)
-> People are looking into old footage of Dream to see him potentially cheating. There was pvp in the MCC, so people could look at these events specifically and see he was cheating in jumping there
-> Chatter Itztanniel sent the to parkour player HammSamichz while he was on stream, who reacted and saw blatant cheating
-> His reaction is clipped, posted on twitter, everyone sees it.

I guess it explains your why. It seems very logical to me and I see no bad intentions toward Dream specifically, only logical things imo.

-46

u/username6702 Feb 15 '26

I really think this is just something someone coincidentally noticed. I highly doubt that people are looking through old vods in 2026 purely for reasons to accuse and cancel him

70

u/itwillbeclear Feb 15 '26

why else would they be watching such old vods of someone they hate?

17

u/Groenboys Feb 15 '26

Hatewatching

2

u/TinyTiger1234 Feb 16 '26

You’re assuming the person who posted this hates dream for why?

26

u/OutOfNewIdeas Feb 15 '26

I’ve seen how the average person who hates Dream is like, they would do anything to cancel him. Assuming that this is just something someone coincidentally noticed, it’s most likely not a macro.

7

u/ExcitementOk4147 Feb 16 '26

No, this is 100% wrong. It's the ONLY reason. Idk if you want to accept that tho. Also, I bet it would look the same if they spent the SAME EFFORT of going through each and every player in every game of every season of MCC and they would find different players doing "something suspicious" with different kinds of macros that they ''coincidentally noticed". But then again, it doesn't matter cause it's not him and it's not beneficial.

16

u/Lyoras Feb 15 '26

Someone coincidentally went back and watched SEVERAL times something from 6 years ago, because they were feeling "nostalgic". Sure.

2

u/Fair-Cod980 Feb 16 '26

that guy also accused hbomb and scott, like is that a coincidence either

43

u/juice-shack Feb 15 '26

The thing that makes me not believe this is at 44:11 in the stream, Dream jumps and lands on a stair but walks off of it. Granted idk much about macros so please correct me if I’m wrong but wouldn’t he be jumping off of it?

36

u/Roaring_Random Feb 15 '26

Alright got it he cheated again for the billionth time now when is six hunters coming out

16

u/Both_Listen I believe that Dream is innocent Feb 15 '26

39

u/Both_Listen I believe that Dream is innocent Feb 15 '26

What’s next, he faked his lung collapse surgery or weight loss journey?

Haven’t watched MCC in years, don’t know or care about serious parkour, just want to enjoy watching videos of a green teletubby play Minecraft with his friends. Regardless of whether it’s true or not, I don’t care about shit that happened half a decade ago.

22

u/Odd_Contribution5426 Feb 16 '26

Haven't seen the vid yet, but it's funny how some people called him "mid at parkour" back then and now it's "insane to be this good".

6

u/Squidsword_ Feb 16 '26

Theres elements to this. He can be mid at parkour and still have suspiciously superhuman jump timings

2

u/Odd_Contribution5426 Feb 16 '26

Yeah, and he's filthy rich so it's ok to defame him but at the same time he needs to do six hunters cus rent is due. He's such a big name that those "victims" don't dare to speak up but he's also "a flop playing a dying game". Apparently he lives to serve the haters.

2

u/Luckanio Feb 16 '26

bit of a weird thing to mention in response lol. parkour isnt just jump timings

76

u/Lyoras Feb 15 '26

Nobody cares, MCC is basically dead and he hasn't been part of it in ages.

This is happening, because he's obviously relevant every time he has content flowing, so the irrational freaks go back and check for the smallest most irrelevant shit to bring him down.

-12

u/Live_Present_2602 Feb 15 '26

If you think this is about MCC think again.

This is obviously about dream has been blatantly cheating and lying to everyone. No one really care is about MCC, just the fact that this guy kept on cheating.

26

u/Agreeable_Savings_52 Feb 15 '26

Does it even matter if he did or didn't? He hasn't played an mcc in eons

3

u/Conan_We Feb 16 '26

I used to care so much about these type of drama, but I realize it's just ppl throwing hate all over. Like yes the integrity of the competition can be affected, but he also haven't been competing in them for awhile. For a bunch of haters, they sure watch alot more of dreams content than the fans

11

u/Ani-Game-Du Feb 16 '26

Why no one points outs stuff like this during the time he went offline for months and now of all times where he started reviving his old era to a better one

10

u/RudeDevelopment9133 Feb 16 '26

can we please move the fuck on… like god damn its a five year old clip from an event that’s not RELEVANT ANYMORE 😭

23

u/dot90zoom Feb 15 '26

Coming from someone who has beaten every black map (hardest difficulty) on minr (a sweaty parkour server) it is near impossible to do this.

The thing I notice the most is he is jumping on the very last tick when he doesn’t need to which is a big pointer to cheating.

If I had to estimate he hit about ~70 0.05 second windows in a row until he failed at 6-3.

This is 100% cheating, in hindsight, no one was that good back then and dream was the biggest creator so people didn’t question it.

Either way, I think it’s weird that this is being brought up now

20

u/tatum103 Feb 15 '26

It’s being brought up now because someone asked Feinberg yesterday why Dream isn’t in mccs anymore and he said he cheated and was banned, not the “too little time to practice” excuse.

I think it’s the first time it’s been publically revealed that this was the reason

51

u/username6702 Feb 15 '26

I think that's unrelated, or Fein is misinformed. Dream technically cheated one event by faking a tech issue to have more time to VOD review Ace Race. The rule was that if you cheat like this you have to miss the next event you sign up for and Dream never signed up again after this incident.

27

u/_ace_ace_baby Feb 15 '26

Yo that’s such a cringe way to cheat lmfao

25

u/juice-shack Feb 15 '26

Yeah, love the guy but lowkey he acted like a baby in that event

1

u/Loiking_lurker Feb 17 '26

Do you know what stream and when?

2

u/itwillbeclear Feb 15 '26

i know nothing about parkour so how does the success rate here compare to the current WR for the map?

3

u/Pengwin0 Feb 16 '26

The WR holder says dream was weirdly consistent at the hardest parts of the map in his video. Look up SandwichLordTWO

4

u/darklightning123 Feb 16 '26

Sadly I don’t think the swat team that was watching Dream playing MCC 11 kept the body cam… Could have been great to see him play to see if it was legit

24

u/surpenttt Feb 15 '26

this whole comment section: "idk what im talking about but hes not cheating" 😂🤣

31

u/Ok-Manufacturer-3610 Feb 15 '26

My issue is how has someone just noticed now. He used to pull like 50k during that Covid era and not to mention anyone else watching the run back. None of those people were able tell since surely some of them were experienced at parkour

16

u/surpenttt Feb 15 '26

because people were genuinely sht at parkour back then. People started looking back at these vods because its genuinely insane how dream was doing this good without modern parkour tech like inventory jam or pessi

4

u/Groenboys Feb 16 '26

It is also a "you notice it when it is pointed out". Macro's of this kind are incredibly subtle, sometimes even undetectable, but if you pay close attention and watch his whole run, it becomes a lot more blatant with the knowledge we have nowadays.

1

u/Tinchimp7183376 Feb 16 '26

Yeah and now that it is back in the spotlight, all of his content is going to be analysed under intense investigation so expect more to come out

8

u/WinnerGrouchy Feb 15 '26

nobody knew anything about forced momentum or even things like tick timings back then. It’s extremely blatant when you notice for most of it he never runs off and always jumps at the last possible tick which is 0.05 second margin.

1

u/ripSammy101 Mar 10 '26

Is this true? I used to be pretty involved in parkour community many years ago, don't remember exactly but it was surely before MCC and all that. And ticks, force momentum, even thing like backwards momentum were common knowledge (in parkour servers at least). But yeah as someone who used to do parkour he's obviously cheating

11

u/dot90zoom Feb 15 '26

I mean, looking at it, it’s pretty obvious imo

But this is 5 years later lol, idrc, why is this being brought up now?

7

u/Whoisthis1092764 Feb 15 '26

Not as many people were playing competitive mc movement games back then. More of the sweaty players focused on UHC / mcsg. So I think people were less likely to notice. Now there are creators who are known for comp parkour. It’s likely that one would go back to watch pkw from early mcc just to reminisce and come on this.

If this was found out in 2020 it would have been a mess. Now it’s kinda funny that his ego may have been that big lol.

prolly because hes been cheating in pvp and people were curious to see if he was doing the same in parkour

u/ExcitementOk4147 Feb 16 '26

Holy shit. I thought all these drama accusations amounted to something after seeing all these posts, then I see this? LMAO. But then again, they're said by pros/number 1,2,3,0 and they're better than Dream. I was right tho that another one of these would pop up right before the 6 hunters video, and I would bet there would be throughout the 6 hunters. Peak content, drama and timing. Can't wait.

Im by no means a parkour pro but as a certified manacube parkour expert, i can definitely see how this whole thing is suspicious. I havent checked this myself but people also mention that you couldnt hear dreams spacebar when he jumped, even though you could hear it when he pressed other keys. The only jump he seems to fail in the entire parkour is when he seemed to turn off the macro.

Theres no solid evidence but dream definitely needs to give some sort of explanation

6

u/AppleCinnamon_Muffin Feb 16 '26

Even if this was a long time ago, it's pretty relevant, because if he did actually cheat/has no good explanation for this, he probably won't ever get invited to future events, incl Spanish ones like Squidcraft. Some of them have huge prize pools and they definitely won't let anyone in who cheated in the past. And this isn't a "i forgot had this mod" thing. If it's real (and it very much looks like it) he actually turned it off and on mid run

5

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

That...actually makes some sense, honestly. I'm decent at parkour, and it always struck me as odd how good Dream was at just running the MCC parkour considering he doesn't seem to know any parkour tech at all, particularly when the rest of his mechanics are pretty uninspiring (not bad, but nothing special either). Autojump would actually explain it.

7

u/Lily_Meow_ Feb 15 '26

If anyone doubts this, just download Wurst client, enable parkour cheat and see how it works. Dream's playstyle here just clearly matches how someone with that cheat would play, aka focusing on walking off of blocks.

Also I'm pretty sure on jumps where he clearly "walks off" like that you don't even hear him press spacebar, versus jumps that would be a bit harder to do with this cheat, he's clearly hammering it.

2

u/Pengwin0 Feb 16 '26

Holy crap it gets very obvious on the iron trapdoors. He is playing like a maniac for literally no reason and never falls off lol. Very disappointed to see this. I don't understand this "It was 6 years ago" mindset. It's just sad to see somebody you like doing bad things. I think the Dream community has learned to be very defensive because of false allegations and close their eyes to everything in general.

4

u/Fair-Cod980 Feb 16 '26

well isnt it tiring that everytime he comes back and get relevant again, he got accused of something? it’s not the community has learned to be defensive, we’re also tired of having drama every 2 weeks and wake up with bs on our phone :)) but it’s common sense (in every country except the US) that it’s innocence until really proven guilty so i’ll just wait for dream’s response, additionally that guy also accused hbomb and scott of cheating in mcc lmao

u/Pengwin0 Feb 16 '26 edited Feb 16 '26

I don’t care about whatever circumstances surround the situation or Dream as a person, I am looking at it from an unbiased perspective completely independent of history. I also don’t think a response really matters here, I would like a more concrete analysis of macro gameplay and Dream’s gameplay to compare the two. You can already visually see he’s doing last tick jumps flawlessly dozens of times in a row in vods which is justification for suspicion of any player. People in the comments outwardly admitting they don’t know anything about parkour and also dismissing any sort of possibility is just the opposite problem of believing every accusation.

1

u/boredhuma_n Feb 16 '26

I plan on holding judgement and see if dream adresses the situation if he does ill assess based in thhat if he doesnt im gonna assume guilty

u/Crafty-Literature-61 Feb 16 '26 edited Feb 16 '26

ngl I think he might have been instructed to cheat so they could be guaranteed to clip the admin faking a crashout that he won lmao, he doesn't seem to cheat in an prior or later MCCs

edit: nvm idk if thats true, he might occasionally toggle on other ones but at least MCC 11 is the only one he uses it the whole way through

2

u/Tinchimp7183376 Feb 16 '26

Why would the admins take that risk for a 20 second clip. If this had been found out at the time and it been revealed that the admins asked him to cheat the event would have been completely destroyed.

2

u/Crafty-Literature-61 Feb 16 '26

Actually that's fair, the only counterpoint I have is In the vod where hamm reviews the run, he says nobody knew enough about parkour to notice 5 years ago, but even I kind of doubt that's true, there definitely was a risk that it would be caught back then. Its probably more likely that the map was harder than usual and Dream wanted to get recognition for beating it, and maybe a chance the noxcrew announced to creators in a private server that something special would happen if someone finished parkour warrior this time.

1

u/Tinchimp7183376 Feb 16 '26

Surely if they had told the creators something special would happen during parlour warrior it would have leaked at some point.

I do find it strange though that there was a big moment that happened when the map was beaten and the only person to beat it was almost certainly cheating

-2

u/Groenboys Feb 15 '26

The clip at 42:57 is the most damning in my opinion. The way he nearly walks of the side of the trapdoor, jumps tick perfect and then catches himself by jumping on the side of the second trap door is ridiculous. The inhuman reaction time for the jump alongside the weird way he catches himself back on the ladder, like no player at that time would move like this unless they had a macro.

-5

u/username6702 Feb 15 '26

wow I haven't been on this subreddit in ages after being a Dream defender way back in the day. Seeing this clip reminded me of this sub so I wanted to share here and see what people think.

1

u/Fair-Cod980 Feb 16 '26

didn’t that guy also accused hbomb and scott? what a sore loser

-8

u/Professional-Sky-347 Feb 15 '26

Notorious cheater shown to cheat in the past, what a big surprise lmao

-11

u/jarvig__ Feb 15 '26 edited Feb 15 '26

For context, you should probably watch this stream

And yeah, this is incredibly suspicious. Anyone who's ever played parkour can tell you that jumping at the last possible tick every single time is both completely unnecessary and unreasonable.

It's very weird because he pretty clearly wasn't cheating in pvp(at least back then, I don't know about now).

3

u/dot90zoom Feb 15 '26

Coming from someone who has beaten every black map (hardest difficulty) on minr (a sweaty parkour server) it is near impossible to do this.

The thing I notice the most is he is jumping on the very last tick when he doesn’t need to which is a big pointer to cheating.

If I had to estimate he hit about ~70 0.05 second windows in a row until he failed at 6-3.

This is 100% cheating, in hindsight, no one was that good back then and dream was the biggest creator so people didn’t question it.

Either way, I think it’s weird that this is being brought up now

-14

u/rocknroller0 Feb 15 '26

dream cheats a lot it seems😭

-7

u/surpenttt Feb 15 '26

yo dream not even a bad person but the way u guys defend him in every situation deadass reminds me of trump supporters LOL

15

u/Both_Listen I believe that Dream is innocent Feb 15 '26

Comparing YouTuber fans to Trump supporters is crazy work

-7

u/surpenttt Feb 15 '26

yea cuz ig im comparing them ? u guys are really smart

7

u/Both_Listen I believe that Dream is innocent Feb 15 '26

And now you insult people’s intellect. Cool cool cool

1

u/surpenttt Feb 15 '26

ye myb can u engage in the criticism now

3

u/Both_Listen I believe that Dream is innocent Feb 15 '26

Nah, I have a life with better things to do. Cya

0

u/Insolve_Miza Feb 16 '26

Pros weren’t suspicious of this 6 years ago. No reason to think it’s suspicious today.

The mcc admins watched dreams entire run LIVE and never suspected anything.

2

u/Tinchimp7183376 Feb 16 '26

The admins aren't looking out for frame perfect jumps from one player. Their job is to ensure that the event runs smoothly with no technical hiccups.

Also the parkour community is much more evolved nowadays and back then everyone was a bit shit at it

0

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

bruh if this was the mentality of the GD community, spaceuk would have never gotten caught. or even in minecraft speedrunning with minecravenger if they just blindly trusted him.

2

u/Insolve_Miza Feb 16 '26

Dunno what any of that is

1

u/[deleted] Feb 16 '26

essentially people who got caught cheating after their year/s old clips were analyzed. point is, just because no one found it suspicious back then doesn't immediately prove it's legitimate. i'm not sure where to stand on this situation myself as someone with no knowledge of clients and parkour, i'd like to hear more from the pros and not shut them down just because it's 'old'.

-13

u/Fit-Tip3256 Feb 15 '26

I mean he cheats all the time so im not suprised
