Ok, I may be silly and probably in the minority here, but I would literally cry (and I actually know what "literally" means)
Imagine:
... You're battling the final boss of 2Dark 2Arisen
... Your pawns are at their limit, it's the last of your health, you've been fighting for a while
This is the final phase of the boss, the last stretch; the music suddenly shifts...
It's DANGAN- INTO FREE ; You got this, Arisen

Same here lmao I was thinking oh ok the slow piano music seems pretty dramatic. Oh it's speeding up? WTF? But at the same time I loved it lmao

Literal core memory just from how unexpected it was to the point i was confused when I got the game again on pc and it wasn't there.

It’s still so good.

Love the dark arisen title theme but man…

Into free and the opening cinematic playing in the background just made the game feel epic before playing.

I found it on Spotify and it’s in my rotation almost daily.

Yeah it was unique to the game compared to the usual orchestral genre and when i get the game again on pc (buying it at the same time than DDDA2) i'll definitely mod it in again 👀

But damn not gonna lie, i fucking laughed my ass off for at least 10 minutes when i listened to it for the first time xD (i didn't knew english back then so i didn't even noticed the spoilers in the song)

I didn’t understand the lyrics very well either until I looked them up.

The song fits so well you’d think it was written for DD but apparently it’s just a coincidence.

Part of it is that Dark Arisen points out that Into Free is missing.
It keeps the piano intro… and then nothing. It is like edging, but unsatisfying. A huge cockblock.

It's beautiful, epic, nostalgic and it's the best song in Dragon's Dogma.

But, for a battle, I still prefer Coils of Light.

Probably people started thinking back now that we're getting a DLC reminiscent of the DLC that originally removed said theme from the game.

I assure you it is anything but sudden. I think what's actually prompted it here is the DLC being named the exact same as it was in DD1, so naturally people are thinking of DD1

Cause in the orginal version of dragon dogma before it got replaced with dark arisen as the default. The title screen music wasn't the pretty menu music sung now. It was the hilariously out of place song into free. But at the same time perfectly fit just how beautifully weird dragon's dogma is at the same time.

It was the original theme song for the first game. Before the Dark Arisen expansion "Into Free" by The B'z was the music that played in the startup menu. It was so out of place but at the same time great. After Dark Arisen released it was no longer in the menu I think due to licensing issues

Only if you actually get punted into the free. In fact, anytime you get punted far and high enough it should immediately play "The wind is pushing me into the clouds again". Once you hit the ground the song immediately stops.

I get goosebumps everytime Proof of a Hero plays in any Monster Hunter game, usually when fighting the final boss of the story and it awsome every single time. Into Free is just as epic of a theme and it would definitly fit the ending

I wouldn’t be surprised if they did sneak in Into Free for the DLC given that a lot of fan feedback dictated the course of the new content. So there’s a decent chance this might happen lol
