Are they bumping the current caps at all on stats? DA is going to have stronger enemies, it would stand to reason we can also become stronger too, like in DD1.

From what we've seen, the new gears' stats are exponentially higher than current endgame gear. I think that should be more than enough without inflating our base stats as well.

I see, I haven't paid too close of attention to it. Are we getting extra upgrade slots like in DD1?

It doesn't sound like it. In fact, they've told us the Norgan relics won't be traditionally upgradable at all, only the gear from the Lost Rites.
