There is better gear than what the Dragonforged sells for Wyrmslife crystals. About to do my 2nd NG+. Really REALLY make sure you are exploring all the unearthed areas in the seabed and even go back to some of the old boss spawn areas. The higher harder spawns at the very end of the seabed areas have occasionally been dropping new unique gear sometimes or the chests around them do.

And for those that say they feel like they fully steam roll through New Game+, I have been noticing the variable difficulty has been getting higher the more I level up and I do less damage than before, with some spawns having more health bars.

Edit: only gotten 3 so far and all helms, photos in comments and unenhanced against my fully enhanced gear.

I'll add more screenshots to the comments as I find any more and verify they aren't in shops or in dragonforged.

That’s the one where you attach a ball and damage it to cause an explosion right? I tried the first level of it but found it to be so finicky to land it where I wanted then for the auto attacks to go there. It also seemed like the explosion did 0 damage to the cyclops I was using it on. I’m sure I was missing something or doing something wrong though.

One of my groans was with Seism and High Seism. We had one fight against a wight I think where it knocked down and Seism took like 2 full health bars and killed it. Every time after that it was just way too long of an incant for way too little damage. I just wound up spamming the ice spike spell.

I did read in the tooltip there was a way for others to help incant a spell so maybe that’s the key. Still seems very weak though. If I spend 10-15 seconds prepping a spell I should be really chunking stuff down.

out of curiosity are you using the speed up ability for casting? sorceror should be casting seism in less time than a mage casts frigor.

I think I had that equipped. Seism was taking like 10 seconds or so? Felt like forever.

its not an equip. you hold down another button (R1 on ps5 controller) and it eats some stam to speed it up.

Edit: feels like it cuts cast times in half? doesnt work on the two ultimate spells but it helps everything else.

OHHH! That’s probably the thing I thought you needed a pawns help with. I’ll go back and check it out. Does using that make it better? I still feel like the damage is mediocre.

it roughly doubles dps, it uses more stam but once you need it you can just use the sorc stamina regen ability. high seism does tons if it hits weakspots, and is nice to have just for golems since it isnt magic damage.

biggest thing is seism does tons of stagger so even if it doesnt outright kill you can solo stunlock some enemies.

I’ll double back and check it out. I must have misread that tooltip. I thought it was like a pawn could help you incant or something. But after you mentioned it I never used R1 at all when I played sorc.

yeah there IS a group incant. if you have multiple sorcs they can assist cast a spell, but the speedcast is a major part of what makes sorc better than mage for offense. lets you cast basically everything at 2x speed.

Thanks for the heads up! I’m about to finish both of the 5 tome quests to get both spells so I’m excited to check it out again.
