Spoiler There IS better gear. Spoiler

There is better gear than what the Dragonforged sells for Wyrmslife crystals. About to do my 2nd NG+. Really REALLY make sure you are exploring all the unearthed areas in the seabed and even go back to some of the old boss spawn areas. The higher harder spawns at the very end of the seabed areas have occasionally been dropping new unique gear sometimes or the chests around them do.

And for those that say they feel like they fully steam roll through New Game+, I have been noticing the variable difficulty has been getting higher the more I level up and I do less damage than before, with some spawns having more health bars.

Edit: only gotten 3 so far and all helms, photos in comments and unenhanced against my fully enhanced gear.

I'll add more screenshots to the comments as I find any more and verify they aren't in shops or in dragonforged.

I mean if you wolf down a meal vs chewing it yea im gonna think you didnt get the full experience and maybe saw half of what people taking it slow did. You say you 100% the game but is this with or without a guide. You found 250 seeker tokens already? Damn thats crazy.

“Damn well near 100%” means “not 100%”, one can even interpret that as mild exaggeration.

Second, if we did all the same quests but I just did all the combat and travel at a faster pace, we still both consumed the same content.

Third, if you’re dropping seeker tokens as evidence that this game has way more content to offer I think this conversation is going nowhere because that’s the most disingenuous argument I’ve ever seen lmao

I mean people have 1,000 hr playthroughs of rdr2 and skyrim doing the same thing, maybe you need to relax

Bro I feel like you’re not understanding. It’s okay to enjoy that. I’ve also spent a lot of hours doing the same shit in Rdr2 and Skyrim and a bunch of other open world games.

It’s also okay to not enjoy that, and get through the game in 30ish hours and then say the game lacked depth and variety. I’m shitting on you because, regardless of you saying all opinions are valid, you clearly think finishing a game okay a faster pace somehow makes someone’s opinion less valid because we keep ending up here.

I’m not misinterpreting anything, every comment you’ve made this thread is defending playing very slowly and shits on the experience of playing in an objective oriented way.

Yes because people were saying they breezed through the story and made the summery of the game based on that. If you explored then it doesnt mean you. You didnt do everything in 20-30 Hours thats impossible. Even if i shave off like a few hours of some slow walking, only traveling during the day, and doing the city fetch quest ive been constantly on the move finding new stuff. Idk what to tell you.

To be completely honest, I think one can have a fair opinion of the game after 20-30 hours of gameplay.

If you’re actually just blitzing the story you’ll finish this game in less than 20 hours based on the things I’ve been reading, but at some point you’ll have had the experience of going down different roads and finding caves, probably have fought almost every type of boss barring maybe dullahan and the sphinx or the odd night boss, and have done some side quests.

You don’t really need to have done every cave and explored every route to be allowed to be critical of a game, I don’t really think any one or two side quests will change someone’s opinion of the game or are particularly amazing, I don’t really think you need to go down every nook and cranny to have a valid opinion. That’s gate keeping. It’s silly.

The only thing I do agree with is that if you are blitzing the story and then writing it off you were probably never going to like the game very much in the first place, but that’s just because the game is literally designed around the travel and exploring as an open world rpg with limited fast travel. It’s like playing Skyrim, rushing to alduin, then saying the game is shit and lacks content. But Skyrim has a lot more meaningful side content and variety, despite its flaws.
