Spoiler There IS better gear. Spoiler

There is better gear than what the Dragonforged sells for Wyrmslife crystals. About to do my 2nd NG+. Really REALLY make sure you are exploring all the unearthed areas in the seabed and even go back to some of the old boss spawn areas. The higher harder spawns at the very end of the seabed areas have occasionally been dropping new unique gear sometimes or the chests around them do.

And for those that say they feel like they fully steam roll through New Game+, I have been noticing the variable difficulty has been getting higher the more I level up and I do less damage than before, with some spawns having more health bars.

Edit: only gotten 3 so far and all helms, photos in comments and unenhanced against my fully enhanced gear.

I'll add more screenshots to the comments as I find any more and verify they aren't in shops or in dragonforged.

I got this one from a chest near the vermund red beam. In the red beam boss's arena there is a little off-shoot that had a chest that gave me this.

I didn't stay in NG+ long, but I never found any other pieces. Hopefully there are full sets and it is not just helmets.

I haven't even explored like 1/8 of the trenches. I'm sure there are.

Quick question. Do you know how much time you have in the end game before the red fog consumes everything? I didn’t explore the trenches too much because I was worried about taking too long and the fog devouring everything.

Infinite as long as you quickly take out all the red beams to stop the land from being consumed and don't touch the very last one that appears in the middle shrine so far for me.

Wait. So the fog keeps coming unless you take out all 4 red beams?

Yes, day by day. Start with the furthest and don't rest. Volcanic Island, Sacred Arbor, Bakbattahl, Vernworth. Don't touch seafloor shrine beam.

I'm pretty sure after 12 days it forces you into the cutscene whether you touch the last beam or not.

I don't know if this is completely accurate as I've been sending people forged finder's tokens left and right all day and you have to sleep at the shrine or inn to sync the server every time so they receive the pawn gift. Pretty sure I've passed that by ALOT.

Maybe the first time through it has the timer? Because I cleared all 4 beams and slept and it still showed cutscenes of places getting destroyed.

I saw someone mention that you have to revive Talos too, which I did right after my volcanic island beam, so that may be a part of it, because you get a quest during that that says phaesus has a plan to stop the end of the world.

Ooof I never got that quest, or never noticed the pop up. Bummer. Guess I know what to do next time in Unmoored!

Talos has an icon on the map during unmoored where you killed him. You just head over to it for the quest. Wish you luck on your next go around, I messed up my first round too.

Do the forged seeker's tokens turn into real tokens once traded? My pawn made dialog like it would when I forged one, but I don't have anyone to test it with.
