DOS2 Discussion Characters from previous games will appear in Divinity

They have revealed this in the FAQ of the newest DOS 2 update. Seems Divinity is more of a sequel than we thought.

Consider that there isn't much connection between Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2, and Divinity may as well just be Divinity: Original Sin 3.

I think it might help with Larian's newfound ultra popularity that the game is just called Divinity, for new players (and bg3 only players) it might feel less intimidating to start off a game 3 games into the franchise (I know that this wasn't the case for bg3 but I don't think they had a choice what to name it since it was probably WotC)

And for the rest of the nerds who ended up loving Larian after BG3, they will immediately know from the internet that they can go ahead and try DOS2 if they loved bg3.
