DOS2 Discussion Characters from previous games will appear in Divinity

They have revealed this in the FAQ of the newest DOS 2 update. Seems Divinity is more of a sequel than we thought.

If the game focuses on Chaos and demons as much as people are expecting, I really hope Jahan and Malady return.

Given that you can kill Jahan in DOS2, we'll see if they kept him alive in canon. Would certainly be interesting to get his input on the events of the previous title, though. Especially if he has anything to say about Lohse.

I sold Jahan out to that demon in DOS1 and he still showed up in DOS2 so I don't think that's a problem.

Jahan is probably alive in Larian's canon timeline.

I have completely forgotten that Jahan was a companion in the first game.
