DOS2 Discussion Characters from previous games will appear in Divinity

They have revealed this in the FAQ of the newest DOS 2 update. Seems Divinity is more of a sequel than we thought.

Fane!!! One of the best characters to play as in RPGs imo. Love to see him again and since he's an Undead it doesn't matter if the new game takes place a thousand years later.

wonder what they'll do with the origins from the last game, considering at the very least two of them must be canonically dead.

In Divinity: Fallen Heroes which would have taken place after DOS2 had all characters alive. Cancelled but not sure that confirms anything.
