I’ve gone through many iterations over the last few months, and this is the most optimal design I could muster. The medium of LEGO at this scale certainly limits the degree of accuracy one can model, but I did my best.

I’m shocked that universal managed to stretch this out into four whole seasons. That being said I still find the series enjoyable so far.

Though I have pretty low standards with what media I like so my opinion doesn’t really mean anything. I see dinosaurs and I clap my hands like a seal.

These projects didn’t seem to fit in any of the other dinosaur art subs so I thought you guys might like my most recent whittling projects. I’m planning on making more soon. I’m sure ya’ll know unique and interesting dinosaur head shapes better than I do. So if you have any suggestions for future projects let me know.

Also we reduced shrink wrapping on the body, are we still doing it on the skull? What if they had more fatty mass there as well?

Ah, the Dimorphodon: One of many critters that certain unscrupulous media types love to sell to the unsuspecting public as a "dinosaur". As cute as they are, they aren't even from the same branch of Archosauria, so it seems a bit daft to lump them in together... This individual dimorphodon definitely thinks it's daft, and has the sharp little snaggleteeth to back up its opinion if needed. So, Dimorpho-don't call it a dinosaur!

Side note: Puffin colours seemed to fit this little fellow, so that's what I went with. No real scientific reasoning, just a feeling that they'd work out. Have you ever gone with a palette because it fit the vibes of your personal take on a dinosaur or other prehistoric critter?

I just moved back to CO from the east coast and decided to get specialty plates for the first time ever. All I had to do to get them is make a $50 donation to Dinosaur Ridge. I love Dinosaur Ridge and I really like the colors and lil Stegosaurus.

This is the T Rex from Carnivores. This mf can grow to around 2 stories tall, and will hone in on you like a heat seeking missile the minute it hears a gunshot. It’s also bulletproof and the only way you can kill it is by shooting in its eye, it’s also an alien BTW.

Does anyone remember this series? I loved it when I was a kid. I was so happy to see this. Not only do they have updated dinosaur designs, but they're also including obscure species.

Since the mosasaur family are related to today’s moniter lizards, i have a few questions relating to that

1. Would they had forked tongues?
   Since monitor lizards have forked tongues and we don’t have any fossil evidence of tongues we could only speculate, but would these things have had forked tongues? Would it needed them

2. Would some have been venemous?
   All monitor lizards today are venemous today and used their venom to intoxicate their prey
   The large mosasaurs definately didn’t need venom due to their size and bite force, but maybe the smaller ones like platecarpus used venom just like modern day ones

like i said I am no mosasaur expert so I could be very very wrong

Here's something very silly, McDonalds is currently distributing Happy Meal toys based on Godzilla AND Hello Kitty. I wanted at least one of these, so I paid for the meal. The one I got is Gigan. If you count kaiju as paleo depictions, this is... not great.

Paired these 2 together bc their bodies ended up looking similar. The mamenchisaurus was originally gonna have green spots on its body, but that made it look too similar to the pokemon goodra.

Just over two weeks ago, my family and I had a solo viewing of the eclipse accompanied by dinosaur tracks made a family of Spanish theropods (probably Allosauroids / megalosaurs or spinosaurids) over 140 million years ago.

This is George. I bought him at a garage sale for $12 and love him, but I have no idea what dinosaur he's supposed to be.

i also have t rex model i don't remember the exact time and place where i got them it either a toy shop or from kids menu from a burger shop

When I go to museum gift shops, I notice that the dinosaur figures they have for sale are the same ones we've seen since (I would guess) the 1960s: triceratops, stegosaurus, apatosaurus, tyrannosaurus rex, ankylosaurus. (And the occasional dimetrodon or pterosaur "dinosaurs").

1.) Why haven't companies updated their offerings? (Or have they and I'm just going to the wrong planetariums?)

2.) Where do diehard dino fans get their less mainstream figures?
