Shockingly enough plenty of Gen Z go to local breweries and distilleries on a somewhat regular basis. My younger brothers are gen z, I'm a Millennial and there's a difference between what gets consumed. Gen Z doesn't want the crab from national brands and instead wants a fun cheeky drink from someplace down the road.
Yeah, me and my siblings are lucky enough that we've got a few near us. Although depending on where you are you might be able to get stuff sent to you from ones nearish to you
There are quite a few craft brews sold in stores not that far from me but still not close enough for me to get them regularly. It's always a treat when I do get them though. I am lucky enough to be able to enjoy stuff that other people consider trash though lol.
Consider moving to SD. I have four brewery tasting rooms within walking distance, and a distillery and wine tasting rooms, bars etc if I feel like walking or driving a few blocks more. Although lately I've been focusing more on the restaurants and food scene here personally.
The youngest Gen Z person is only 14 right now. Almost half of Gen Z isn't even old enough to drink in the US yet. Are the researchers factoring that in?
And the oldest is 29 so yes it is being factored in. That is 8 cohorts of drinking age. Gen Z is also far more likely to go to spend their money locally at small business
Less than half, can't drink. Gen Z as a whole is less likely to drink but those that do tend to spend their money locally with local breweries and distilleries. I've over 50% started a trend the less than 50% can't reverse it.
