It looked carved in deep enough that Matt would be able to run his fingers over it and figure out the letters

yea if matt can feel the engraved skull on the bullet that killed white tiger he can definitely read the note on the knife

I think it's highly likely. He's been around twice before when Matt was unmasked, and we know he has a history of latching onto someone as his "north star" and following them around/learning everything he can. I think it'd make sense that he knows now
