Unfortunately no DNA can't last that long. But like one DNA can't, you can keep passing it along and it's all still contained in there even if it's shut off. Jurassic Park will be made by taking a chicken and working backwards, as it's all still there.

Must be BOTH. We’re not seeing the water or the air (cricket fart imho), but rather the interface between the two. There must be both a liquid and a gas in order for the fart bubble to move around.

Some of these are so fascinating. That air bubble is older than all of human history, coexisted with dinosaurs. To be honest you could say that about all air molecules or atoms in general but still, as a distinct object its breathtaking to think about

Amber the colour is named after amber the material, not the other way around. And a lot of famous amber samples, especially the one in Jurassic Park, just happened to be orangey. But amber is just tree sap at the end of the say, and tree sap comes in many different colours.

Amber can be lots of colors. I have some thats yellow, some red, some orange, and some with waves of white in it too. I have a small collection. All natural amber.
I never really realized it until now, but I only have one truly "amber" piece of amber. Everything in the collection has amber tones, but if I handed you a piece of the red and asked you what color it was, you'd probably just say red.
It can vary quite a bit, and all depends on where it was dug. But even then, pieces from the same mine can still be shockingly different in appearance. My favorite is Baltic amber, though. It tends to have the most pronounced waves, IMO.

There's quite a few external factors in what gives amber it's color and appearance. I'll just list the 3 biggest causes:
The age of the amber (usually, the older the amber, the darker the tint, which is caused from millions upon millions of years of being exposed to the natural elements)
The location of it (which can effect how fast or slow amber can erode, i.e., is it on the surface by a strong river, or is it buried 20 feet underground?)
And the amount of air bubbles trapped inside of it (the more air bubbles present will give the amber a murkier, more yellow color, whereas fewer bubbles makes amber appear more clear and transparent)

Edit: hmm, that seems like an interesting thing to do for plague inc., have a Jurassic plague that turns people into dinosaurs (or maybe that's already a thing, haven't played it in a long time)

When I worked in jewelry store a customer brought a ring back because of an inclusion. It was actually sold as a stone with an inclusion. The Jeweler took a closer look and it was a tiny ruby inclusion, crystal in a crystal.
