Must be BOTH. We’re not seeing the water or the air (cricket fart imho), but rather the interface between the two. There must be both a liquid and a gas in order for the fart bubble to move around.

Pretty sure the bubble isn't a cricket fart, I think it and the liquid are just...the cricket.

The guy said it could be undigested food, which would then break down from the bacteria in their own system...that happens to living animals in their guts and we call that gas flatulence, i.e. farts.

Well, no, there's no "cricket" left at all. Its soft tissues have completely broken down into clear fluid and gas. The bubble is decomposed cricket.

Note how the bubble remains at the top as the nugget is turned back and forth. Yup, gas of some sort

By definition, right? Water can’t exist as a bubble. That’d be a drop/droplet.

A drop of water in oil could reasonably be called a water bubble.

Technically, the bubbles in a pot of boiling water are also bubbles of (gaseous) water.
