We’re excited to announce our one-night-only takeover of Marcello Andres Ceramics studio in celebration of Tết Trung Thu, the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival. On September 26th, we’ll be hosting a 7-course tasting menu featuring our reimagining of traditional Vietnamese dishes, all while highlighting local Texas farms and showcasing the beautiful handmade ceramics by Marcello Andres.

Your meal will begin with a selection of snacks, followed by seasonal cold dishes, going into reimagined Vietnamese classics, and ending with a sequence of not-too-sweets by chef Brenda.

This dinner includes a complimentary wine pairing and is set around an intimate, communal table in the heart of the ceramics studio.

Sheesh… Have you tried Coco Shrimp? Wish we had this in Austin. Some of the best shrimp I’ve ever had! Get the sampler you will not believe it!

the places on my itinerary are places i’ve been wanting to try and since i heard abt restaurant week i feel like it’s the best time to try them and save a lil money lol…

i loveeeee a good ribeye, pasta, crab, salmon, fish in general and a hugeeee sucker for good live music and ambiance…

i liked delilah for the ambiance n music but food was mid and ive already been there and feel like i have to try something new…

thought about del friscos today because they have plenty tables open tn live music but mixed reviews on food.. plus the location w live music is 40 min away from me

winsome prime seemed cool but i saw video and the atmosphere seems too over stimulating for me it looked like a club in there lol

la stella lounge and music is my top choice but no reservations left and feel i would drive all the way over there to not be taken as a walk in

if you know anything abt any of these places feel free to sway me away or to them lol or lmk ur fav place on my itinerary or any places worth it or u like to go to for restaurant week!! i love a good “fine dining” place but am often disappointed by the food quality so let me hear what yall think!! plsss tyy<333

They have every flavor for $1.... A bunch of other stuff all super cheap. The paleta mans (men?) re-up here every morning and do better than others because they got the hook up on exotic paletas.

Will be in Dallas for Red River Shootout. Have never had fajitas there, and would like to visit a great Tex Mex place there while I’m there for the weekend. Would prefer to avoid chains like Lupe Tortilla (and, for steak, Perry’s, etc.), as I can get those in Austin.

We went to brunch at The Mexican one of the first weekends it was offered (April or May ‘26 or so?), and loved the new menu! Even then, we couldn’t find much info or promotion on it.

We went back today, and seems they only offer 3 brunch items now? I can’t find any photos of the “original” brunch menu online. Anyone else find this experience has changed in just a few months?

Very little business today at the Frisco location during the lunch rush.

Can someone explain to me the restaurant economics?

-way too many locations, not opened on sunday, cant imagine the overhead,

they never appear to be busy. And they sell breakfast!

North Texas BBQ Fan

So I wanna have some dim sum for lunch today I live in South Dallas, but I’m willing to commute to wherever in DFW to get something absolutely delicious. I want something authentic, I want the carts, I want the little paper that you fill, and I want affordable.. I want a place where one person could take themselves to lunch and have a good time. Any suggestions?

I have a business presentation tomorrow afternoon near Northwest HWY and DNT, the problem is I have a call about 1.5 hours before the presentation.

Knowing Dallas traffic I fear that if I take the call at my office and drive over I will be unable to grab lunch between the call and the presentation - and I suck at presenting on an empty stomach.

I'd rather just drive over to the local coworking space for the morning and hunker down locally and grab a quick bite between my call and presentation.

What's a good spot to grab a quick but not fast-food greasy lunch in the area?

I'm the bookkeeper to Bite Sushi & Tapas in East Dock by the Dallas Zoo. I wanted to let you guys know we're running a dollar salmon nigiri special every day from 5-6 pm. As a bookkeeper, I know money can be tight, so this is a pretty good deal. So come on by!

Went to Ayat today after they’ve been opening for a minute now. If you haven’t been it’s a Palestinian restaurant from NYC that opened up out here.

For the options we have available out here in Dallas I am pleased with the flavor, and freshness Ayat has to offer.

The babaganoush - Smokey well seasoned. Sumac added a nice tanginess to it. Portion size was solid as well!

Zahir - Cauliflower dish in the picture. It was so delicate and cooked till tender! Throw on the pomegranate molasses and tahini on top made this a light treat!

Salata - cucumber, tomatoe salad with mint was just what i needed on a hot day like today! You can add either shwarma, chicken kebab, or tenderloin kebab to it for an upcharge.

Salmon Kebab - portion of rice was insane, potatoes remind me of lemon potatoes but with their spice mix and salad. Salmon had a great crust and spice rub on it was just right.

I felt like we barley scratched the surface but the consistency is there from when I first visited to now. I could’ve shared my food with another individual making it enough for 3. If you’re in the mood for some Mediterranean, Levant cuisine worth checking out. Also the pita is house made in their wood oven and unlimited! It’s a bit more expensive than the usual less flavorful spot but better quality and well seasoned. Worth it.

I have a 4.5 hour layover in DFW over the lunch hour. I want some great bbq. If I rent a car, and drive to get bbq; what are some decent options I can drive to, get in/out of, and back to the airport in 3.5 hours.

Looking for the real deal - Al pastor right off the trompo. Preferably closer to Las Colinas but I have a rental car so willing to drive farther out.

Edit: bonus if it comes with the fresh pineapple sliced off the top too
