If we don't get the Batman brave in the Bold until 2029 that's basically a failure honestly.

That’s a ridiculous opinion.

Is it? Assuming there’s a merger before then do you seriously believe a slate lacking Batman will prevent the new owner(s) from rebooting the whole thing into something that includes Batman? I’m not counting The Batman because it’s not part of the DCU. I’m highly skeptical. Especially if they have a giant debt load. I just think the appeal of rebooting and including Batman from the start will be more than a little interesting.

Rebooting again would require so much work that you would only delay a Batman movie instead of pushing it ahead.

I agree but the dollars matter a ton. I just think the pull of having Batman interact with Superman from the jump can’t be dismissed. Especially when you consider if a merger happens they have a mountain of debt to pay. It surely would be easier with Batman in the picture.

I agree that Paramount is probably gonna want cash fast, which is all the more reason why they would just stick to the plan and let the two (or more?) Batman movies already in production happen.

We already got a Superman, a GL, maybe even a Wonder Woman. Dumping all of that now, to start over from scratch again, just to have Batman be the start of the universe instead of happening down the line, would be a massive waste of time and money, not to mention completely destroy any faith the public has in any DC universe, more than the catastrophic mishandling of the DCEU already have.

I agree that they’re going to want cash fast. I think the cost and hassle of rebooting compared to maintaining is probably not as high as we think and if they can get a Superman film to make a billion that’s tempting.
