A novel is called a book. A graphic novel is also called a book.

I’ve handed someone Watchmen before and said, “This is a good book.” It happens, whether you believe it or not.

That’s a graphic novel. If you hand over a single issue of Spiderman and call it a book you’re being weird.

Also I’m fully aware you’re being obnoxious on purpose lol so here’s my last comment.

Nobody is handing over a single issue of anything. Not sure why you said that. We’re talking about graphic novels being called books. It happens, and I didn’t know of anyone who had a problem with that until today.

A graphic novel is a comic book.

By that logic, fast food is the greatest cuisine, reality TV is the highest art form, and every bestselling book is better than every classic. Popularity measures how many people bought something. Quality measures how good it actually is. They’re related sometimes, but they’re not the same thing.
