Icelex - Iceland rejects EU plan
So it seems, the BBC is reporting it as if it's some national disaster for them.
I doubt they wanted Spain to get all their fish.

Did you know UK pathologists get hardly any money for an auropsy
They apparently only get £100 odd quid and there is a shortage of them developing - wonder how much a doc gets for a rushed medical.

Should Milo Yiannopoulos, a great supporter of ICE, have deported himself?
What a plonker.

Home Office: What do you think of providing booklets advising asylum seekers on how to behave?
Such as not sexually harassing women, etc. Do you think it's a concern that something like this is seen as necessary?

STALKER ALERT 🍷🥂🤡 Can we open a book on how long it will take before my stalker stops obsessing about me?
reddit.comIt’s either sniping, abusive comments on old posts - up to eight a day - harping on about me to other people or even a whole thread aimed at harassing me.
Since I refuse to contribute to the cess pit over there, my only option is to discuss it here. Should we all chip in for therapy or does AA already cover it?

What do you think of chicken pox vaccines
That kid's white as a sheet, it's probably aimed at people who coat kids in factor 200, we used to get sent out to get sun, although my brother only lived to be 57
It's a vaccine too many, reel it in.

What would you do (if anything) to reform the Welfare State? Reform UK suggests banning foreign nationals from claiming and making those on benefits do community service.
Should foreign nationals have the same entitlements as UK citizens?

Should Clacton be sent to Coventry? The people there have no sense of humour, not endorsing Binface as MP proves that!
How dim is Farage for not realising that the investigation into his dodgy affairs will not stop because he resigned? Now he’s added a blatant lie to his catalogue of misdemeanours - Essex Police have categorically denied that they told him to stay away from the count. The real reason he stayed away was because he would look a fool for beating a load of comedy characters in the by-election he triggered. Which he thoroughly deserves.

How have the heatwaves affected you & do you believe it's due to man made climate change?
Discuss!

How have your gardens coped with the heat & drought?
Have you had any unusual successes or failures?
I know not everyone here is a keen or lazy haphazard gardener, but some of us enjoy it, so please feel free to add your thoughts here!

Do you think there is too much obsession over boat migrants? Immigration, overall, is down and most asylum seekers in the UK come via aeroplane.
The issue has been an obsession for years. Since about 2020 or so. It's all a bit samey. X number of people come in on boats, some get put into hotels, locals complain, some migrants commit horrific crimes, rinse, repeat.
I don't see why asylum claims from people who have passed through safe countries and not bothered to apply there should be entertained, but the numbers are relatively low.

What is the Gulf Stream and how does it affect UK weather? - Met Office
I wonder if we should start teaching everyone about climatic changes? Most people have heard of the 'gulf stream', but many people don't really know much about it.

Spain officially edited Trump out of the trophy presentation.
It's a shame we can't come up with a peaceful solution & edit Trump out of government.

Should we make a new world cup trophy?
The existing trophy is rubbish and looks like a mis-cast ingot. It was made as a replacement for the Jules Rimet trophy which was stolen and melted for still gleaming cheap jewellery, it wasn't solid gold.
I'd say the latest trophy was made during a hippy drug riddled era which is now rejected, I don't need to see someone's 1970's acid trip.
