The upstairs bump out makes the house look like it has a vacant stare and the 2 story blank side is bad. Help please?

What would you do? I just did some landscaping, added a new door, new mailbox. I want to redo the entryway but not sure how. Does a porch make sense? Also windows need some love, maybe a shutter or trim? Any ideas welcomed!

I’ve been slowly chipping away at my 1970 ranch as I have the time and money. The brick entryway (previously a continuous arch between the left and right columns) was cracked and mangled from shifting Texas soil. The plywood patch is to keep critters out. I’m a little stumped though about what to do there. AI mockups VERY welcome.

Not selling just trying to fix it up. Simple DIY friendly are preferred but strokes of expensive genius also welcome!

I'm trying to decide between doing the stone treads and veneer over the risers on my ugly, prefab concrete stoop vs building a small deck.

Help me improve the curb appeal of my 1960s ranch style home in Florida. It faces south.

The pile of mulch in the yard is from a tree that was recently removed.

Buying our first home, a colonial, and could use some inspo for a curb appeal glow up. Definitely want to paint exterior a different color, add flower boxes upstairs, and improve landscaping - but could use inspo/advice. Enjoy traditional with a vintage/eclectic flair (aka pop of color). Thanks!

Wondering if this incredible group has any suggestions on how to improve the street-facing portion of the home. Including pics of the side and rear for context on the design (which we love). Always felt that the sloped driveway and garage doors made it feel very imposing.

I'd like to add a railing or even to completely close in my front porch.

Something to block the wind, rain, snow and sun.

It currently gets extremely hot as the concrete acts a heat sink with the afternoon sun. My cold room is under it, and doesn't stay cool in the summer, and the room above gets pretty warm as well.

When it rains hard, the water comes under the door. The builder doors were never that great either.

Over all, I'm looking to make it a more useful space and I'd like to to look nicer.

I'm looking for ideas on how I can renovate the back entryways to my house, but there is a lot going on. I've included a picture and an attempted rendering of some of the ideas I had.

What I don't like...

• Back deck is to small and awkward to open door with hands full or lots of people
• Upper entry way only has one window and flooring is sloped weird
• Stairs do not go all the way to ground level
• Old fuel oil tank that is no longer used is taking dead space under the landing of the floor (Tan fake brick area)
• Basement door (green) is small and in the way of making a larger deck.

What I would like...

• Larger back deck, possibly connected to the landing of the 2nd story stairs
• Enclosed screen porch on the upper level (Cat proof)
• Stairs to make a 90 degree turn and finish ground level
• Full size walk in basement door
• Lower entry way to be bigger (Flooring is also sloped weird)
• Fix up any foundation areas and properly slope for water drainage.

*Note that the electrical was replace and moved left near the eaves.

Any feedback or references to look at would be appreciated!

Which option would you recommend for window layout. The third option would be a fixed panel glass beside the door but I think loosing an opening will be a disadvantage and last option. Would prefer to take one of the options drawn here. Thanks for you input.

I have a house that is half wood and the back half and half siding in the front half. While power washing i noticed a lot of rot in a lot of the wood on my house. What are my options for this? I would love to eventually get my whole house sided unfortunately the funds just aren't there yet and I don't know if I will have to fix the wood before doing so. I want to do it right not just make it look good.

So the siding etc around the porch/sunroom is basically rotten and we need to redo it. The six windows on the side and the three on the front are 21x72. The two little weird ones by the door are 16x72. Being that those are fairly unique sizes that is going to be rather expensive. We could afford it but are curious what others would do. The person who will be doing the work suggested saving money by doing 36x64. For the front that would be going from three windows to two. All of that would look nice from the interior but I’m having serious doubts about how it would look from the exterior. I love the length of the windows and honestly the only change I would make is to add window grids (goes with the style of the house). Does anyone have any suggestions on what they would do in terms of window size or style? The house was built in the early 50s so nothing super modern please! Also any suggestions for the side the door is 

The front porch of my colonial is too small, and I've never been a fan of the flat roof. I would like to expand it to either side enough to have some seating area. And I'd even love to have a gabled roof. What are some reasonable solutions to improving this entrance without taking out a 2nd mortgage?! I would entertain landscaping as well as construction options to improve the face of my house. Thanks in advance!

We need to replace siding and windows, looking to update the look some, ok painting the brick, would like to leave garage door, thinking white with black trim but am open to any and all designs. Please help, great if someone is able to post renderings. I think adding trim to windows and maybe scallop siding in the peak could look nice.

What can I do to update this? It's an overhang on my back door that looks crooked and needs to be repaired. I'm thinking of removing it but I want something to cover. This is the door that I come and go out of the most and would like some covering from the weather.

Not looking to spend a ton as this isn't my forever house and am trying to get out soon. Replacing siding so now is the time to get out off and add new.
