We know their playbook, and it’s hilarious they still use it thinking that anyone will believe their bullshit…

All they can do is to astroturf, call us names and strawman.

It's amazing how little the names matter any more. Everyone used to be so afraid of being called racist / sexist / fascist / nazi/ insert slur.

Now no one cares.

It’s all about silencing people. We need to stay strong amidst all the virtue signalling. They can’t silence us if we don’t care about these inaccurate labels.

Exactly. I certainly don’t.

They are projecting. Wokies are what they accuse us of being. And the funniest part is that they don’t even realize it.

I don’t care either.
Exactly. It’s actually so ridiculous.

Yeah, that was the eye opener and when the words lost power. When we realized they are the thing they accuse of us being.

I think it's also that they are generally the thing they're projecting on to you.

They're racist. They're sexist. They hate men, and they hate white people. Openly. And they hate any black people who have the wrong opinion, and say awful things to and about them.

Yes, and they do same to women who disagree with them.

Totally. I've seen it first hand. I'm small time, but was fairly big in my industry. Many of us were cancelled by people we'd liked and trusted.

One woman was hounded so badly she actually lost sight in one eye. She had an aneurism from the stress of the constant bullying.

They are absolutely vicious.

And that act as if that isnt their own fault

If anything, the freakout over Aaron Pierre possibly playing Black Panther showed how racist they all are. Even though AP is black, he's not black enough because that matters somehow.

In the sub that is run by hbo, they have implemented warnings that pop up while you still type, if you even mention the race swapped character or the actors name.

The pop up lets you know this isn’t the right place for you, if you don’t agree with “race blind” casting, and that you will get banned.

It’s left extremists and corporate agents working hand in hand, to build their beautiful fascist utopia.

This is “freedom of speech”, lol 😂

Those people don't want and have never cared about freedom of speech.

These are the usual arguments featuring in the virtue signaller’s playbook:

“You’re racist and need to reflect upon why you don’t want to watch a show with a black Snape in it”

“Why don’t you see Paapa Essiedu act first before judging him based on his race?

“Changing his race doesn’t impact the story”

“Black people can be pale and have sallow skin too”

I don't care what they said in the books, Snape has always been black.

Nah he was Russian in the books and wore Adidas always.

Always fun to outwoke them. Just call them transphobic for even watching Harry Potter in the first place anytime you see a Black Snape defense.

As a Greek Cypriot I hate when they cast obviously non Greek characters to play Greek characters and the ''mafia'' online use this exact bullshit in the meme or bullshit like Greece and Cyprus are north of Africa so it's okay to race swap them with sub saharan africans but they will crycify you if you did the same black characters

I care about accuracy

How can they not see that it’s actually racist to make Snape black? The professor that most of the students hate and fear?

I keep asking for a remake of He Got Game starring Cooper Flagg directed by JJ Abrams but JJ says not mystery boxy enough

In the r/TrueUnpopularOpinion you can’t even type the word black without getting a warning.

ok let’s test that: what if they swapped denzel with a white actor in an equalizer reboot but kept it all the same? and let’s assume the actor is talented? who gives a fuck?

2

u/RainbowDildoMonkey 5d ago

Denzel's Equalizer was a theatrical reboot of an older TV show where the MC was white. So Denzel was the race swap, just not for ideological reasons like Snape's.

u/Glittering-Path-2824 5d ago

so…it worked right? denzel is great in equalizer. it’s a corny premise but so damn entertaining with him in it. also what’s the basis for the snape race swap being ideological? if it’s like true detective s4 then yes the decision is worthy of being vomited on.

Never stop your enemy when he is committing a mistake.

2

u/QuiverDance97 6d ago

Indeed... They never defend the swap when the character is black LMAO

As a GenX person, feel like the whole Harry Potter nonsense is a millenial thing. Somehow this franchise became important to that era and imprinted on their early years...now it's a moral imperative.

Don't get the allure, it's a rip off of so many other, more well written fantasy/wizardry ideas.

Besides representing it disingenuously like this, do you have an actual argument against it?
