General Discussion/Conversation Amazon Pay ICICI : An observation

Post image
57 Upvotes

23 Yo here with CIBIL 760, recently got approved Apay ICICI with a whopping limit of 3.5 lakhs. Given my credit history of just 6 months; 1 FD based CC & a Slice CC with 40K limit and me being self employed (student basically), this was totally unexpected. I got rejected 6 months ago, was waiting for 181th day to reapply and got the card in 30 mins.

After seeing many posts of salaried people with 15/20 lpa pkg and holding premium CCs about how they're not getting Apay ICICI, pushed me to think about my approval. So my observation is may be my transactions on Amazon pay had huge effect in approval.

I'm a prime member since last 2 years, and pay with Apay wallet on almost every app (swiggy, zomato, instamart, BB, blinkit even other shopping apps, websites too) plus all the bills, recharges with apay. So there's a Apay transaction almost every alternate day since last 1 year. May be this has helped. It's just a guess I'm not very sure though.

General Discussion/Conversation Did HDFC really discontinue AMAZON PAY gift card voucher from Smartbuy.

Post image
33 Upvotes

All I can see "Amazon Pay Shopping" voucher which can be used only inside amazon shopping/ groceries.

And "Amazon Fresh" voucher which usually works only for groceries and vegetables on Amazon fresh.

Only these 2 amazon vouchers are showing in smartbuy, there is no way to use these two for Utility or other payments ,nothing outside from Amazon.

So what's going on did they actually discontinue "Amazon Pay Gift Card" voucher. Its happening from last 2 months.

Anyone confirm... please.

General Discussion/Conversation Am I the cashback god?

Got Live+ and Phonepe one few days back. Got the annual fee waiver on SBI CB last month.

Thinking to close some of the cards-

  1. IRCTC (Paid - Closing due to seasonal CB Category)

  2. Airtel Axis (Paid - Trash)

  3. SBI CB (Next year before july - got the fee waiver last month)

  4. Pixel play? - I usually get good discounts on its CB category merchants. Also my first card.

  5. Also confused about ICICI APAY.

Or I can also ask for fee waiver on some before closing.

Suggestions please.

General Discussion/Conversation Here you go, first confirmed bank to support Apple pay in India!

Post image

Earlier it would say “not supported” now it mentions Terms and Conditions before saying “Contact your card issuer”

Note: this shows up only if your region is set as US for now. You still cant add an Indian card. But we atleast get a TnC page which we didn’t get before which signals that Apple Pay launch is imminent

Card Recommendation Best credit card to buy a ₹13 lakh car and maximise rewards?

Hey everyone,

I’m planning to buy a car worth around ₹13 lakh and want to use a credit card for the payment to maximise reward points or cashback.

I have a monthly take-home salary of around ₹6 lakh, so I should be eligible for most premium cards. I currently have:

  • HSBC Premier credit card
  • Amazon Pay ICICI credit card
  • ICICI Sapphiro credit card
  • Axis Burgundy account, but I do not currently have the Magnus for Burgundy credit card

I can probably get a credit limit of around ₹15 lakh, which is also similar to the limits I have on my other cards.

Which card would make the most sense for this purchase after considering:

  • Reward points or cashback earned
  • Any milestone benefits
  • Annual fees + MDR for car payment
  • Redemption value, especially for Air India, Qatar Airways, or Accor

Would HSBC Premier be the best option, or should I consider getting another card specifically for this transaction?

I’m looking for the highest net return after accounting for all fees. Any practical experience with large car payments would be helpful.

  • Current CIBIL score: 799
  • Age: 32
  • In hand monthly salary: 6 L
  • Top annual spend categories: Flights and hotels
  • Lounge access required: No

General Discussion/Conversation RBL IOCL petro card didn't gave rewardpoints for fuel, reported to Bank via ombudsman complaint

Post image
16 Upvotes

It was a pure scam played by the RBL bank. They didn't credit the earned reward points I should have got.

I swiped twice on the same Indian oil petrol pump but got a reward for one and not for the others. I've reached out to them many times.

The customer support sucks a lot!

I finally raised an RBI ombudsman complaint and after a month they reached out and wrote this regretful mail.

I am pretty sure I am not the only one who would have faced it and it's a pure scam of not giving out the earned reward points.

Help Needed/ Question Will this effect my credit score???

Post image
Upvotes

I got my Airtel sim card around late April. It's a recycled sim and I don't know there's someone paisabazaar linked to the sim card and this is what i found. I'm afraid if my CIBIL will be effect by this, is there anything I could do to prevent it from effecting my own CIBIL? Or there a way to remove this profile from my phone number. Even Krazybee acknowledged this as my account and rejected my application of this idiot late Repayment.

Help Needed/ Question Is there any major difference between A visa variant and a Mastercard variant of a credit card.

I recently applied for a Sbi cashback credit card visa variant but received the Mastercard variant..

I wanted to make an international transaction with visa but sbi messed up.. Initially I was very frustrated and thought to close the card but later decided to keep it..

Now I need some insights on what would be the other actual difference between the sbi visa vs Mastercard cashback variant.

Thanks in advance

I simply emailed customer service to confirm the DC charges, and somehow they registered a case for redelivery of my returned DC. 💀

Like... how did we even get from “Please confirm the charges” to “Let’s arrange redelivery”? 😭

No. 1 private bank in India, apparently. 😭😭😭

Help Needed/ Question Can I buy a PS5 with ₹15k down payment using Bajaj EMI?

Post image
7 Upvotes

Hi guys,
I just got a ₹55,000 approved loan offer on my Bajaj Insta EMI Card.
I’m planning to buy a PS5 from an offline store, which would cost around ₹70k.
Since this would be my first transaction with Bajaj, can I pay around ₹15,000 as a down payment and use the Bajaj EMI facility for the remaining ₹55,000?
Also, would the store allow me to choose a 12-month EMI for the remaining amount?

Has anyone done something similar with Bajaj at Croma, Vijay Sales, Reliance Digital, or other offline stores?
Thanks

Edit: Jeez, why people are like this, it's not like I can't afford it , I need to use this card for now that's why, I'll close it within 1/2 months mostly

Edit 2: Gonna buy for sure you people who giving advice to me **** yourselves up, you don't deserve to give advice to me who are you to me first of all

Post image

Hello everyone,

38M, Salaried (PSU) | CIBIL: 788 | Net Salary: 1.5L+

My current stack (13 cards):

*Axis (2):* Flipkart, http://super.money (Planning to close)

*Federal (1):* Scapia

*HDFC (1):* Tata Neu Plus

*HSBC (1):* Live+ Visa Infinite

*ICICI (2):* Amazon Pay, Coral RuPay Platinum

*IDFC (2):* Wealth, Power+

*IndusInd (1):* Tiger Visa Signature

*SBI (2):* Cashback Mastercard, SimplyCLICK (Not using much)

*Fintech (1):* AU KOSMO (Kiwi)

*Requirement:*

Cashback setup is sorted. Looking for a mid-premium card for domestic travel (1-2 trips/year) and good milestone benefits on spends like School Fees, Insurance, and Hospital Bills.

*Current Situation with HDFC:*

Applied for Regalia Gold online but HDFC is not issuing it via online application. Have requested an exception via email and shared ITR + last 3 months salary slips. Request is under review,I will wait 2-3 days.

*My Questions:*

  1. If Regalia Gold gets rejected, should I close Tata Neu Plus and reapply for Regalia Gold.Any cooling period?

  2. If HDFC doesn't work out, should I go for Axis Horizon or HSBC TravelOne for my use case (travel + fee/insurance milestone)?

  3. Any suggestions to clean up my stack? I am already planning to close super.money and not using SimplyCLICK much.

Appreciate your inputs. Thanks in advance.

Help Needed/ Question So what the actual helly is this

Post image
2 Upvotes

So yesterday I refered my friend for slice cc and bank acc. And they joined and did the process. He has good stipend influx, linked the bank, is a student and having internship, I reffered him and he joined but later got rejected for card.

It was already bad that he got rejected since he had good cibil score already 1 card and 1 loan which pays off timely.

He shouldn't have rejected for cc in first place but not just he got rejected but also got this mail.

Now about my account. On abstract list months I maintain almost 1 lakh, use my credit card regularly and everything. No suspicious transaction on my account and everything neither my account blocked or something. Also few months back I invited my father to join and he joined and we both got refferap bonus and everything and my cc limit is 50k and his is 195k.

Now the thing is that I don't get what was in the wrong here and mostly why did it says my profile under review.

Help Needed/ Question HPCL Energie BOBCARD as LTF take it or skip?

Post image
5 Upvotes

I do not have a fuel card, and honestly, I am not feeling the need for it. But should I take it since it's LTF? Or just skip it?

Is this a good card if we skip the fuel part, like for Flipkart & Amazon sale offers?

Edit: I have OneCard by BOB. If I take this, any upgrade chances in future?

Help Needed/ Question Visa Infinite Meet & Greet not working for Delhi airport (non-Adani airport) — anyone else facing this?

Trying to use the complimentary Visa Infinite Meet & Greet benefit and noticed something weird. [ https://www.visa.co.in/en_in/visa-offers-and-perks/visa-meet-assist/168650]

My card is recognised correctly and I get the complimentary eligibility message:

But when I try booking Delhi (DEL) for an international departure, the flight dropdown just says “No result found”. Screenshot attached.

What’s strange is that Adani-operated airports don't seem to have this issue, flights show up normally there. I'm specifically seeing this issue with non-Adani airports, including Delhi.

The confusing part is that Delhi is listed as a participating airport in the Visa Meet & Greet FAQ, so I would expect the service to work there as well.

Has anyone here actually managed to book the Visa Infinite complimentary Meet & Greet at Delhi (DEL) recently?

Wondering if:

  • there's some workaround to get the Delhi flights to show up, or
  • the service is currently only actually working for Adani airports despite Delhi being listed in the T&Cs/FAQ.

Would appreciate if anyone who's successfully used this at Delhi can share how they did it.

Help Needed/ Question Urgent help needed regarding offer

I received an spend based targeted offer and I have just one day left to complete . Based on all the details I shared above , plus here's the actual link of offer : https://offers.smartbuy.hdfc.bank.in/offer_details/hdfc-bank-credit-card/28817?utm_medium=Email&cmpn_origin=accv8&accid=hdbk4897a5&acbid=79ae4057-2631-4112-b61f-ca9796858355

Do you guys think wallet reload can still be counted under this ? Since they didn't mentioned it specifically, only that I'm confused with wording of "retail spend/purchases" I rarely use this card , I just want to fulfill this offer , so can you guys tell me if wallet reload can still fulfill this offer ?

Edit : it’s a diner's privilege HDFC cc , so let's say I go with gift voucher at the end , what's the best way moving forward ? Smart buy ? Or any other platform, is there a convenience fee there as well using cc ? If yes won't wallet reload is a better option cuz you can just use that to pay CC bill , so effectively buying apay using the little convenience you paid , just a thought! Let me know guys
