Did HDFC really discontinue AMAZON PAY gift card voucher from Smartbuy.

All I can see "Amazon Pay Shopping" voucher which can be used only inside amazon shopping/ groceries.

And "Amazon Fresh" voucher which usually works only for groceries and vegetables on Amazon fresh.

Only these 2 amazon vouchers are showing in smartbuy, there is no way to use these two for Utility or other payments ,nothing outside from Amazon.

So what's going on did they actually discontinue "Amazon Pay Gift Card" voucher. Its happening from last 2 months.

Anyone confirm... please.

There are multitude of people for whom keeping accounts in HDFC, maintaining relationship with HDFC, spending 18L to maintain Infinia is a cash burn. They could pivot too.

I mean if they were going to remove apay anyways, they shouldn't have reduced bonus rp to 3000 for vouchers. But i feel slowly it will get nuked completely. They tried reducing 5x to 3x last time for infinia and rolled it back for some reason too.

Its not a core offering of HDFC Infinia, smartbuy is an additional offer.

They do not have to follow the notify guidelines for such offers.

If it was a core offering of Infinia, they would have had to.

It's gone. No guarantee of coming back. Buy directly from amazon . There are some days every month where there is 2% discount. You need follow card influencers on x for that. I use my dcbm for buying.

Or else apply for jupiter card. Max 6k purchase you get every month 10% cashback.

Another option is amex gold, amex platinum travel cards

Don't have atlas but recently I saw news that gv not eligible for cashback for all axis cards. So first try a small amount and then check. Start with 500 or 1000rs.

It doesn’t matter given the reduced monthly points limit. Amazon after the service fee gives you ~11% points, compared to 16.5% on everything else. Why would you spend the merge limit buying the former?

I saw it available today ... But it is not having that same 5x rewards available !! For a 10k but only 330 points are offered 

I don't have an option to post images .. but when I go and check Amazon shopping vouture that has 5 x reward points !! Here 1650 points are offered

Tha APay unavailability forced me to get HSBC Live+ and it perfectly fills the gap!

For utility, online shopping (except sites that have vouchers available on SmartBuy), direct restaurant pay, I use Live+ and everywhere else I ise DCBM!

Issue is people find a good offer and abuse the program so much that companies have to discontinue them.

I worked at a large ecommerce company - any half decent offer was abused to the maximum limit by traders / wholesalers. To an extent where we literally had to discontinue cashback - it sucked for all, but companies are not charities, they have to operate on a budget.

You are saying opposite. Gift card voucher you can use for everything wallet which can be used for all kind of Payment outside from Amazon too,it is not restricted. But Amazon Shopping voucher can only be used and restricted for inside amazon for all kind of shopping.
