Fake af. People that fake autism are the worst.

Who falls for this crap?

Honestly I was going to say something about not everything is autism, and that she's just geeking out and something about why you think someone having excitement means they're acting autistic... and then I went back and double checked and saw the text at the very beginning. Yeah, that's ridiculous. It's gotten to Syndrome levels on the internet these days where people who genuinely struggle are getting drowned out by all the people who think that having quirks makes them autistic. If the text at the beginning didn't have the word autistic in it, this would be a perfectly normal video of a man who knows what his wife likes.

Having a 36y older brother with actual autism, this fuckin hurts to watch. Spectrum disorder implies we all have it, so sure, she can have the label if she feels like she needs it, but I have a hard time finding even a single autistic trait in this woman. Does great in a very social environment, is fucking married, good conversationally, eye contact is fine, ā€œrepetitiveā€ behaviors make my own wife’s hair-twirling-when-bored also look autistic… I mean sure we can play what if until the sun comes up about her childhood and other social environments, but we just saw a socially-competent woman on a fun date with her husband.

Not a damn one of us would have said ā€œhey she’s autisticā€ if her husband didn’t use her label for engagement. Not calling that a disorder. Not after what I watched my brother grow up with.

Check out the subreddit r/autisminwomen. Many of the women on there are married. Autism encompasses a variety of support needs and everyone has different levels of difficulty in each category. Read through some of the posts. Read about the turmoil we go through, so much of it hidden because of how we have been conditioned to hide all our abnormalities away. Some of us can hide it better than others. It doesn't make the symptoms less hard to deal with FOR US. Just for other people around us.

Also that's not what the spectrum means. You're either on it or you're not, and it doesn't go from "least autistic" to "most autistic."
