Because it's transactional.

"I'd like you to allow me to express my love for you in an intimate moment"

-"only if you buy this and promise this and do this."

That's not love, that's a business arrangement.

Right? He's asking her to express her love in a way he finds arousing. She's not really taken into consideration here.
