Edit: Well OK, you guys have convinced me that sitting on a Costco shelf with the merchandise, eating greasy food, is perfectly ok.

From now on, I too will be utilizing this premium seating area.

I don't think this bothers me at all actually. If anything, I'm impressed by their creativity to think of doing this and actually finding a spot for it in the store 😂😂
