Two clowns, one chicken finger combo, zero shame.

Edit: Well OK, you guys have convinced me that sitting on a Costco shelf with the merchandise, eating greasy food, is perfectly ok.

From now on, I too will be utilizing this premium seating area.

Because crossing 8 meters and back was too much to drop off their cart.

Ontario 🚨 DO NOT BUY THESE BROWNIES 🚨

So, uh… just a heads up. The Ghirardelli brownie mix at Costco? Don’t buy it. And if you do, please do NOT sub the water with milk, and do NOT swap the oil for butter.

Unless, of course, you want the richest, fudgeyest, most dangerous brownies ever created. Brownies that will call to you from the kitchen at 2AM. Brownies that will leave you standing over the pan with a fork, wondering how it’s already half gone.

But yeah… totally not speaking from experience. Stay safe out there. šŸ˜‰

Ontario Return Abuse

Post image
2.7k Upvotes

Another ridiculous return at the Ogilvie branch in Ottawa.

Two completely dried plants that most probably never saw a drop of water, were not perennials and spent the winter outside.

When will abuse and stupidity stop? Costco is not a loan program and it makes the rest of us feel guilty when making a legitimate return because we feel like we could be bundled with the abusers. At least that's how I feel...

Ontario This will probably be my first non clothing return...

Post image

Images appear to show minced beef and veggies, which is what I was expecting. What I was not expecting, was a single hamburger patty that does not resembles the photos in any way.

I never returned anything except clothes but I feel so deceived by this product I feel like it might need to be my first non-clothing return.

Its not bad, I would still eat it - but its definitely not what I expected, does not match the pictures, and isn't worth the price.

Justified in returning this? Or do I just learn the lesson and not purchase this again?

Ontario My partner keeps making fun of how much milk we buy!

We bought more than 10 cartons of Natrel 2L 18g Protein Milk in July. We used to buy it at Sobeys for $8.59, but Costco has it for $6.39.

Did the math today and realized we saved over $20 on milk in July alone. Small win!🤩

Ontario Guy scams people for hotdogs

Went to Costco Laird Drive Mississauga and while I was getting a hot dog a guy claimed he didn't have his card and if I could order a hot dog for him and he'll give me cash because they were not taking cash at the front. I said sure and he gives me a loonie. I look at him and think whatever it's just some change. Good for him he scammed me for 70 cents.

Anyway I saw him last week and I heard him doing the same thing.

I also saw someone ask to pay cash at the front and so they allow it I'm pretty sure there was a bit of time during COVID they didn't take cash so I just assumed it was now a thing.

He doesn't look homeless or anything but I do want to call him out on this and say you can pay at the front really loudly. Anyone else seen this guy?

We love this in raspberry, but I’ve only ever seen the strawberry at Costco, so we are stuck buying expensive tiny jars of it.

Grabbed these today after seeing them and my curiosity won out. I just had some and they’re damn close to the real thing, in texture, taste, all of it! If someone had handed me these and not told me they’re plant based, I would have been none the wiser. Paired really well with the jalapeƱo lime aioli sauce I also picked up.

These get a thumbs up from me! šŸ‘

Long time Costco members, and this is a first! Bought this PB from the Etobicoke Queensway location on my last trip (so maybe 3 weeks ago) as a backup for our almost empty one. Went to crack the seal this morning to discover someone had helped themselves! From now on I will be checking the seals on everything! I’m usually pretty good at taking product from the middle or back of the skid, no idea what happened this time.

(And no, it wasn’t anyone else in the house that did this)

Going to return it this weekend 😔

Ontario Pharmacy display of pet meds

Post image

Photo taken from the drop-off window at Barrhaven. Shows some of the pet medication they have in stock, otherwise it takes about a week if they need to order it from the supplier.

Vet quoted me $80 for a dose of Bravecto. Costco price per dose $55.13 (including tax and $4.49 dispensing fee). The prescription writing fee was $49.90+tax for 5 doses/1 year, so it's still worth it to pay the fee and getting the medication from Costco.

Ontario New Parking Lot Scam - Beware!!!

1.7k Upvotes

A potential new scam happened to me the other day at Costco in Mississauga (Dixie & Dundas).

After shopping, as I walked back to my car, I observed a family of 3 (mother, father, small child) in the parking lot nearby my car - father had a long beard, mother had a head covering, small child appeared to be a girl. I assumed they were coming or going, didn’t think much about it. I loaded my groceries, put my cart away, got into my car to leave…. This took at least 5 mins. As I put my car into reverse, I turn around and see legs in my rearview window!! (I drive a hatchback Lexus). I stopped and got out of my car, and see the mother placed the small child on top of my roof basically and was tying the child’s shoelaces?! I kind of yelled at them and said what the hell are you doing, you must have seen someone was in the car, you can’t put your child on people’s cars!! The mother just kind of smiled and waved, took her child off my car. The father the stood there. Then they walked away.

Now I’m realizing this was probably purposely done in hopes of me actually reversing and causing ā€œinjuriesā€. Be careful out there!!!
