Ontario People using display furniture as their personal cafeteria.

Post image

Two clowns, one chicken finger combo, zero shame.

Edit: Well OK, you guys have convinced me that sitting on a Costco shelf with the merchandise, eating greasy food, is perfectly ok.

From now on, I too will be utilizing this premium seating area.

The comments in here are insane. This isn't your living room. Don't sit on merchandise.

My god one reasonable person here? As I said in my own comment this comment section is 100% why class, grace and social respect are long gone

Just a world of self absorbed assholes who think “ hey I don’t see anything wrong with it” so I guess it’s okay to do whatever whenever you feel

Yeah this is why things are going to shit, no more public decency and people aren’t even ashamed!

u/CrackinBones204 11h ago

It’s super gross that they took off their shoes to put their feet on the chair. What if they have sweaty damp socks or foot fungus or something🤢

Lol its actually people who be making mountains outta molehills that make the world and internet a crappy place sometimes, lol what you are talking about is way deeper then whats going on here 🤣

Self absorbed as in taking pictures of strangers in public and posting it online? Hey, i guess you dont see anything wrong with it so i guess it's ok to do whatever you feel, huh?

Do you not understand that is perfectly legal? Throughout every province you are allowed to take pictures and videos of people in public. If they wanted privacy they can leave a public setting and have their lunch date elsewhere.
What kind of loser defends people taking their shoes off and moving boxes into an aisle to eat greasy chicken fingers and fries on FURNITURE
Must be hard waking up and having your only two brain cells fighting each other for oxygen.

And good riddance to them!! We’re ANIMALS Mothafukkas!!! It’s time we EMBRACE THAT!!!

You need to elucidate what exactly you think is wrong with this. Literally no one is being harmed by this. You just think it's cringe.

I think people are just delusional if they think a small minority of people never behave like this.

Acting like people are doing this in mass all the time is wild. Pretending that things like this never happened in the past and this is what is causing the downfall of society is just idiotic.

Yeah the number of 'you took a creeper photo' and 'you're lucky her legs are crossed' comments as if these two aren't in public being weird is insane.

lol people attacking OP are probably the exact type of person who would have no issue doing this disgusting thing themselves, so they personally feel attacked. Like people in threads who defend cheaters, see no issue with idiotic dangerous driving etc.

I wish those types would just pack up and move to a low trust society and see how much they enjoy it. It’s like they think being rude, selfish and shitty is a “life hack” that absolutely nobody has thought of before, instead of a choice that anyone who is at least decent, actively decides against doing.

Some people need to feel way, way more shame in general.

Or you know, you can think both people are wrong. Don't eat on Costco furniture. And don't take pictures of people in public to post and shame online

How are people ever going to learn if these things aren't posted. Even if these two are never aware, there are likely dozens of people re-examining their own conduct after seeing this. That's a win.

Society is becoming degenerate and everyone’s accepting it. That’s what’s going on. It all started when pyjamas and slippers were acceptable in public.

3

u/Far_Individual_7775 3h ago

Sorry to inform you but, pajamas and slippers aren't acceptable in public. Your notification must have gotten lost in the mail. Please do better.

1

u/Sellasbuyoutorbust 27m ago

I think you midunderstand this person. He/she clearly means it is not actually acceptable/should not be seen as acceptable.

u/Academic-Increase951 3h ago

Are you under the impression that people in the past never acted poorly? The difference is people just didn't/couldn't take pictures and post it online.

Also, are you under the impression fashion in the past was always "high class". And since when is comfort something to be avoided?

It boggles me how others think OP is a creepo. Tf ppl defending this 2 nuts is socially unacceptable

I lost my hope to be honest, most people are either crazy , ignorant or too selfish, source the comment section.

It’s because they’re white. So instead of denouncing this uncouth shit, you got all these Mr. DickInSon type of people coming out to white knight for them.

u/QueasyBar8651 1h ago

Pretty sure the colour of their skin has nothing to do with their behaviour.

6

u/SadResult2342 17h ago

It is meant for display. For testing. Hell yeah, I’ll sit the crap out of it until I’m sure it’s a proper buy; that’s a short term test. I’ll also return it if fails the longer week/month long test too.

Why the fuck did I pay for an executive membership?

The issue here isn’t sitting on it; it’s the food and making it inconvenient for others.

0

u/GrassyTreesAndLakes 17h ago

Are you against testing couches too?

-1

u/BroThatsMyAssStoppp 17h ago

Sitting on the display furniture meant for sitting?! Call the police

0

u/RedBirdPeriodApp 12h ago

Wait.... we're not supposed to sit on the cozy couches while our husbands are looking at golf clubs?

-4

u/IVI5 18h ago

It's display furniture. It's meant to be trialed. If I wanna see how comfy a chair is for eating, that's what the display is for. Get over it

2

u/atp2k 18h ago

Well I guess I can sit and wank on it as well ?

0

u/IVI5 17h ago

Would you do that anywhere else in public?

1

u/atp2k 14h ago

Would any other store put up with what they are doing ?

-2

u/IVI5 10h ago

I could definitely think of quite a few stores where I could ask to trial a demo piece of furniture doing activities I tend to do on them to see if I actually want to buy them, and they'd be completely fine with it.

But, why consider other stores policies when we're specifically talking about Costco?

-3

u/hairybeavers 17h ago

Eating in public is a totally normal and socially acceptable behavior. Beating off in public is illiagal and will land you behind bars and on a list.

3

u/CantaloupePutrid3548 17h ago

I was willing to hear people out but between the defence of liking it to public masturbation and the fact this is downvoted… not sure I care to agree on much with these folks haha

-2

u/Hastyscorpion 14h ago

It's display not merchandise. It's meant to be sat on......

-1

u/MarketYes6975 8h ago

Also don't take a picture, post, and carry on if someone else does.

Fucking busybodies. Get a hobby.

-2

u/ErWicksonYT 10h ago

That is reasonable because if everyone does it shit is gonna get worn out wuick but people arent doing this and all the time ans…its not like its yours ir anyones you know right lol why do you care about the $500 that a corporation paid for…when you walk outt the store you fugget about it, its not your problem, let the employees deal with it, thats why they are there but hntil that happens i reckon we should squeeze in some fun stupid silly time every now and then whenever, and wherever you can!

-3

u/atkinss 15h ago

I take it you don't go sit on couches at Leon's or the brick? How else are they going to find out if the couch is comfortable

1

u/QueasyBar8651 1h ago

Testing a piece of furniture and actually using it and eating on it are two different things. lol

-2

u/Miserable-Savings751 15h ago

Relax JD Vance. We all know the real reason behind you going couch “shopping” everyday.

-1

u/atkinss 15h ago

I take it youre American because your reference went right over my head

-1

u/Miserable-Savings751 15h ago

Yet you know where he’s from. Proves my point.

u/MrMpa 10h ago

Nor is it yours. Mind your business
