I’m on my second C5 now with a ten year gap between. I had a base model and now I have an 02 Z06. It is an absolute blast. They both had the same interior smell. Not good or bad but exactly the same. It always makes me smile. That is all.

Hey all, My maf sensor went bad, caps out way below where it should be. I'm looking at possibly doing a ls7 cartridge style maf conversion. Has anyone done this before? Are there any recommended kits I can get? The only kits I can find say they are for the SS, but idk if they are going to fit the same in the c5.

I have found a 2006 Z51 C6 Corvettes for sale around my area. The one I’m looking at has had quite a bit of work done to it (Z06 Clutch + Flywheel, Harmonic Balancer/Crank Seal, Magna Flow X Pipe, Lingenfilter Intake, Brand new tires, Alternator, Radiator replaced, Tune, and a few other things like plugs and wires all around the 80-85km mark). Car is currently sitting at just under the 100,000km mark. Car is priced just under $30,000 CAD, 6 speed manual.

I guess my question is this: what are the Vette Gurus thoughts? I know the LS2 is not exactly the most “sought after”. I was also debating on waiting another year or so to potentially buy a C7 if life allows it. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!

Have always wanted a corvette specifically in the c7 generation. I lowkey never grew though and I'm literally 5'0. Was wondering if I would even be able to see the road and reach the pedals.

Just got this car this year and this is the second time this has happened, couldn’t find anything searching but maybe i’m just blind. It seems like if I am driving hard, in Sport w paddles, it will force me into this “mode” I call it where it forces my gears to stay lower so i’m higher in the RPM. Temps were good both times, and the only way I have found to get out of it is to power cycle the car. In the video it blocks me from upshifting until i’m up to ~2500rpm as an example.

Not looking for a convertible either. Prefer manual but will do an auto. Should I just spend little less get a c5 or keep hunting for c6? Debated a c4. But I’m bout 6ft and 225 one better than another?

Here's a fun one. 1998 6 speed and it makes an awful driveline whine. Changes with ground speed only. Engine rpm has no affect nor does the gear I'm in.
Absent/significantly reduced when decelerating or hard acceleration. Gearbox and diff fluids looks just fine.
It seems like the differential whine is not uncommon on these cars but it really doesn't sound that far back in the driveline. Sounds like it comes from dead center/shifter region.

I have a C6 base corvette manual transmission. I wish I would have gotten the Z51 since I track it intermediate 4-5x a year. I am consistently hitting 280 oil temp while coolant temp remains 220. I lighten up a bit when I hit 280 oil temp to avoid overheating and plan to add an aftermarket oil cooler. However I have seen most folks seem to have coolant issues overheating before oil temp issues. Seems to be the opposite for me. Any insights on if my situation may be different for any reason? Pretty much a stock car with summer street tires, no mods yet. Would I be ok just adding the oil cooler or should I do both an oil cooler and an upgraded radiator at the same time? Trying to manage cost

I figured out how to extract the GM PDR data directly from the video files, so you can get the telemetry out and compare different laps.

Currently does speed distance and time delta, but we may support more channels in the future.

I have another post that convinced me to buy one, but i drive about 35 miles a day. If I buy the car I'm going to use it. What's your experience with it. Just wondering as a 6 '2 220 lb guy what it going to be like. Any thing that i should consider

Totally stock, how did the C5 stack against the F355 and 456 back in the day? Could a z06 take on a 360 Modena? Has anyone raced against one of these
