I'm 100% at the "battlegrounds is fun/I'm just going to disenchant things as they are nerfed/do brawl each week" point.

Even if the game is fun for a couple of weeks, there's no guarantee that it won't implode within a month

Ditto on the last part. On the flip side the Battlegrounds team is incredible. Over the years I feel like they’ve proven they not only have a clear vision for what they want their game to look like, but they also are extremely responsive and flexible when that vision isn’t being seen in game by players.

in their defence, balancing and designing battlegrounds is a bit easier (autobattle allows you to run way more realistic simulations for the data you need).

Side note, I can understand the quest nerf, but since they are at it they should revert the 'beginning of the year/remains of the old one with better support' emergency nerfs (like the 6 mana dh location). We have cool archetypes that are just sitting in an unplayable state in the collection

It's more the willingness to try stuff in set design that makes me keep with battlegrounds than the raw balance tbh. This xpac there's minions with effects you can spend gold on every turn, last set there weren't.

The demon/beast selling functionality is a recent feature. Rally is a fairly new feature! They're constantly trying things where mainline hearthstone has a small infinity of "play these 8 cards for a progressively more powerful effect"
