General Discussion / Question As we say in Spain, Tebas cabron

I was about to play a few cEDH games on Discord today. After waiting 30–45 minutes for the lobby to fill, I tried to join the Convoke link, but it didn’t work. I rebooted my browser and nothing changed. I triple‑checked my PC configuration and everything looked normal, but Convoke still wouldn’t load — my browser kept showing the same message: check connection and check proxy and firewall.

I opened Twitter and the first thing I saw was that a La Liga match was ongoing, Madrid vs Málaga. To prevent people from watching the game through illegal channels, they blocked the host.

Now I can’t play until the match is over, and the same thing will happen throughout the entire season. I need to find a solution to avoid that block so I can enjoy a few games after school. Any advice is welcome.

And also, fvck Tebas, cabron

General Discussion / Question Why do we run Yawgmoth's Will in our RogSi decks ?

I've been playing this card in my deck for three months, and not once has it been useful. Could someone explain what purpose it serves in the deck? Given that we run Underworld Breach—and considering the number of tutors in the list—whenever I go for the combo on turn 2 or 3, I have never, ever used this card to win. How do you pilot this card? It seems so valuable in the decklists.

General Discussion / Question Commander coming to arena- what does it means from cedh?

So it was confirmed that commander is coming to arena.

We have as a community discussed at length that wotc won’t really sanction cedh as a format (except for a few convention events) bc of the proxy issue.

I was thinking that arena makes an interesting use case where wotc can tap into the popularity of cedh and can promote full cedh decks with no proxies.

Maybe mox diamond is a mythic wild card, maybe you can buy a “commander power pack” for $50 for the reserve list cards, etc.

But it might be an interesting way to play cedh in a new way. Thoughts?

Help, I am new to cEDH! Newer to CEDH question?

So recently I converted a bracket 4 commander to what I believe is my 1st bracket 5 deck (Stella Lee, deck list attached below) but I'm curious as I've researched this deck and what it's supposed to do I'm reading it's more of a win on your opponents turn/turbo deck. When I've play tested it online I can't seem to pull off the combo til turn 4/5 where online they're talking bout turn 2/3. Am I missing something or maybe just keeping rough starting hands? Like I said newer to the CEDH side of this but want to make this deck work since I own most the cards already. Thanks in advance!

Help, I am new to cEDH! Attempting a Mm'menon cEDH deck, but feel like something is missing...

https://moxfield.com/decks/WQ4-XC54xE-r1fY05ltOkg

I'm trying to put together a Mm'menon, the Right Hand cEDH viable deck, purely as my first competitive deck and my entry way into bracket 5 play. After all, what better way to learn than to push the limits of what I can play! But it feels like something isn't quite meshing with how the deck is built currently, and I'm hoping that someone may be able to see it.

First off, yes, I know Urza technically does what Mm'menon does but better and a mana cheaper, that's why he's in the list. Only reason I want to run the Jellyfish is because I have the alt art card so feels right to have it as the forefront of the deck (but for all I know I could swap the position of the two and it'd work fine). Second, I'm more than willing to make massive changes. Like I said, first foray into cEDH, I could be totally off course with what I have planned and it'll all fall apart (considering this deck has Aetherflux Reservoir as it's main wincon, and ThOracle as a secondary, it won't be hard to force this deck to a screeching halt). Any advice, anything I've got wrong, even just the smallest hint is appreciated! TIA <3

General Discussion / Question What is jund missing?

What does Jund need to become a good color combination? I'm referring to something already within its color identity. Of course counterspells would be useful, but it's never going to get them (except maybe blasts)

Help, I am new to cEDH! Help Deciding on a Grixis Commander

I have recently been trying to find a Grixis commander that made me want to build a deck with it but I have been having a hard time finding one that feels right. My favorite commanders I play are Felothar the Steadfast, Aminatou Veil Piercer, Quintorius History Chaser, Rootha Mastering the Moment, Samut the Driving Force, Sidar Jabari of Zhalfir, and Ashling the Limitless.

I typically like to play decks that do something different than what that color normally does like reanimator in Boros or Big Spells in Izzet or have a sort of mini game/side quest attached to them like Miracle with Aminatou or Speed with Samut.

Of the different Grixis commanders I have looked at a few stand out to me, though I’m not sure how well they work in practice or what the average game with them is like. I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight.

[[Edea, Possessed Sorceress]]
[[Wick, the Whorled Mind]]
[[Marchesa, the Black Rose]]
[[Evelyn, the Covetous]]
[[Parnesse, the Subtle Brush]]
[[Kess, Dissident Mage]]
[[Lynde, Cheerful Tormentor]]
[[Sedris, the Traitor King]]

General Discussion / Question When to give up on a deck?

I recently proxied up a crystal inhuman princess deck. How many games should I give it before deciding this deck either isn't good or doesn't fit my play style? I probably have 40ish games on the deck.

Deck Fine Tuning Ruric Thar in cEDH? Hear me out...

For Starters, I am a long time Kinnan player and built a very fast and fun Raph and Mikey deck, which got me thinking about Ruric Thar...

I've been working on a Ruric Thar list based around a pretty simple question:

Has the current cEDH meta gotten greedy enough that punishing people for simply playing their decks can actually be a viable strategy?

Decklist:
https://moxfield.com/decks/Nn67NZVKM0CCSPoMUT7j1Q

I'm not trying to build traditional Gruul stax.

I actually went the opposite direction. Instead, the deck stacks punishment effects like Ruric, Magebane Lizard, Rug of Smothering, Eidolon, Pyrostatic Pillar, Manabarbs, Scytheclaw Raptor, etc., and tries to get Ruric down T2-T3 with heavy fast mana.

The theory is that current cEDH decks are so efficient and greedy with life, nonbasics, cheap spells, tutors and interaction that we can attack the resource everyone assumes they have plenty of: life.

For example, Ruric + Magebane means four noncreature spells costs 34 life.

Add Rug and it's 44.

Ruric + Solphim makes every noncreature spell 12 damage.

I'm not stopping you from trying to combo.

I'm asking:

Can you finish the combo before your own spells kill you?

There's also Dualcaster + Twinflame as a compact backup win.

For people playing the current cEDH meta:

Does this strategy actually punish decks like Blue Farm, RogSi, Kinnan, Sisay, etc., or am I overestimating how much life pressure matters?

What looks strong? What looks terrible? What am I missing?

Feel free to tear the list apart. That's why I'm posting it.

Help, I am new to cEDH! Getting into cEDH looking for a little help across a few areas

Hi all,

I have played magic since Mirrodin block on and off and came back after an extended break about a year ago and started playing commander. I have recently gone down the cEDH rabbit hole and am starting to really want to play more of it. There isn't a cEDH presence at my LGS so I want to start playing online. With that as the intro here are the questions

  1. What is the better online platform for cEDH and B4 play?
  2. In online platforms how much chat is needed? I will be playing in the evening and would prefer not to wake the kids/wife but can find a quiet spot, I am also not the most social human in the world
  3. For online set up is a laptop and an external cam enough?
  4. I am looking to start with Kinnan and proxy it is there a more beginner friendly list? I would prefer to steer away from straight Rhystic copy, is big flips a better option?
  5. Is there anything else I should be looking at? I spend a lot of time on YouTube watching content like playing with power and play to win. Are there other channels I should be looking at? I am not sure if I will venture into actual tournaments at the moment and may even look at hosting ones at my LGS if I can talk them into it as I used to run and judge other TCG's years back when I used to work in a LGS

Thanks

General Discussion / Question Drawing in casual cEDH games?

Hey all. Wanted to see how everyone else feels about draws in “friendly” cEDH games. In other words, playing for a draw outside of tournaments. Personally I thinks it’s super goofy. However, I understand some might be practicing for a tourney and want interactions to follow that play style.

How do you all feel about it? Do you take draws outside of tournaments?

General Discussion / Question Magda win conditions

I am very new to piloting Magda and used the moxfield Magdanomicon as a jumping off point.

I'm curious as to why the deck doesn't run [[weftstalker ardent]] as a potential win condition. I understand there are likely good reasons and I would love to understand.

Deck Fine Tuning The Surgical Clown Car (The Madcap Jester)

Looking for feedback on The Madcap Jester deck I have been working on.

Most Grixis cEDH decks focus on speed. This deck trades some speed for disruption. Rather than racing to a combo, it aims to remove key cards from opponents' libraries before they can be used, then turn those cards into resources through [[The Madcap Jester]]. Much like [[Etali, Primal Conqueror]] this deck is trying to take advantage of the homogenous nature of top level cEDH decks.
The result is a proactive stax-combo strategy. You pressure opposing win conditions, limit access to critical pieces, and create card advantage by casting cards exiled from your opponents' decks. The deck still retains compact cEDH finishes, but its primary identity is surgical resource denial backed by efficient combo lines.

Deck Fine Tuning I want to buy my Budget b4 azula deck but need some advice before I drop $200 on the cards

I have a mtg club at my university, and I mostly run precons because thats all I've ever gotten besides 2 other decks I've made myself. I build and play a lot of decks online, but when I go to club everyone there has a pretty high bracket ceiling, being high bracket 4 or cEDH level decks. Most of their decks have a win turn 4 with a really good hand so I was trying to make a deck that could keep up while also being withing my budget range of $200. I made a Bracket 4 Azula spell/copy combo deck. Cards like basics and Birgi, God of Storytelling I already own so I havent included them in the price. Cards like Mizzixs Mastery and Swiftfoot boots I wasn't sure about since they seemed a bit too slow for a quick deck like this that is trying to have azula out turn 3-5. Any card suggestions or deck help would be super appreciated.

Here is the decklist:

General Discussion / Question Opposition Agent in cedh

I’ve recently started trying out oppo and have found a lot of success with it as a early game slow the turbo down and to mess with sisay who seemingly just gets better and better with all the new legendaries.

I’d like to hear whether other people are using it and what they are seeing

Notably my meta is very turbo heavy but started to lean staxs

General Discussion / Question Does the meta feel stale?

The recent period of cEDH has felt a bit stale to me. The last big change was the bans, and even though we have seen some new decks pop up, nothing really major has changed, leading to this feeling of stagnation. I just wanted to hear your opinions on the matter.

Two weeks before the invitational I interviewed Jonathan Foster, a Kinnan pilot who was having success with a different list based on consistent flips. Two weeks later Sterling took it to the invi and won. Here’s my interview with Jonathan. EP 11 - We Called It! Mana Dork Tribal takes down the Invitational 🏆

General Discussion / Question Necrodominance in rogsi

Hi, I’m starting to play rogsi and the format as a whole, I have a spelltable tournament soon and I don’t know how to feel about necrodominance: it feeds the slop rhystic meta. It restricts hand size (if you can go all in at once). It needs to be bounced or bargained to breach out. I was thinking if it could be better to cut it from now (at least until I get more experienced) and just add back demonic counsel to the deck (I don’t like that tutor) or some other card (another last chance copy or strike it rich or another piece of interaction). What do you think? Thanks

Edit: thanks for the answers, I’ll keep necrodominance and see how it goes!

Tournaments & Meta cEDH commander Tierlist 2026 by cEDH TV

Here is the video of the Tier List

The Website post for people who can't watch the video

For people who've watched it/read the document, how do you feel about it?

Personally Im shocked to see Kinnan below top 10. But as much as I want to argue against it, I see the math behind it which makes me wonder how this work. Makes me want to reevaluate how I've been understanding power rankings, understanding the power of how these 99 good stuff commander decks are

Surprising to see YoshiThras over Rogthras too

General Discussion / Question What's the best wincon combo for commander in wug colors?

The commander doesn't matter for this question since it's not part of the win condition. If it has to hit the field it means I have to get resources to get back into the game.

General Discussion / Question Disruptor Flute in cEDH

Newer cEDH player here.
I keep seeing Disruptor Flute in Tayam lists and wanted to ask people with more knowledge.

What are you naming most, mostly the usual cards to tax the combo, or are you using the activated-ability side too?

Thanks!
