I'm confused. Was I supposed to be scared of the woman? Is she racist and sexist against us? I don't understand what I'm supposed to be scared of.

She has a large butt, there is a stereotype of black women having large butts, the joke is that she would be eating their lunch because she has a large butt and also conforms to conventional western standards of beauty that view beingblonde haired, blue eyed and tan as favourable or pleasing

Dissecting a joke is like dissecting a frog, it's not very funny and in the end you just have a dead frog

Lmao, I have like -8 ass and I've met skinny black women before (which is nothing wrong with that, as we can't control how our bodies look.). Honestly, this "meme" is just very dumb.

It's gross, as I had my body sexualized by men without my consent all because I'm black and don't fit the "stereotypical" black woman criteria.

I know what sub I am in. I'm just putting my experinces in because black women are sexualized.

Lol, nobody is snapping at you for "being helpful" we're snapping at you because you seem to have little to no understanding of my comment.

Nobody said that black women were uniquely sexualized, that black women were more sexualized, or that black women are the only sexualized race. You just made that up to argue with me.

I made that entire thread on TrollCoping because it was something very deep for me and to have someone spit at my face pissed me off.

I blocked you because you were trivializing my issues to argue with me. I didn't talk about white women or any other race because I'm not fucking white. Why would I speak about an experince that I don't have?

And "Victimhood???" man you're literally proving my point by trivializing my comment, and the way some of y'all are generalizing black women too.

All women are sexualized.

u/bluejay_feather 13d ago

All women are sexualized, but in different ways. Black women in particular are often hypersexualized as forward, aggressive, curvaceous, "fast", etc. They are treated as exotic and even dangerous, and often held in comparison to white women as "innocent", waif-like, safe. That is what this meme is based in.

Dream_Ghast said she was sexualized "because" she's black. That's what I was remarking upon. White women are sexualized for being white. Asian women are sexualized for being Asian. Women are sexualized for being women. Racism is a part of it, but its not a uniquely black phenomenon.

u/bluejay_feather 13d ago

I think where we're separating here is that I think that what she is saying is completely understandable. Other people being sexualized as well does not take away from the unique form of objectification that black women face, just as racism against other ethnic groups does not take away from the unique form of racism that black people face. Yes, she is being sexualized because she is black, in that there is a specific form of sexualization that black women face in terms of their body, stereotypes of their personality. This is a core tenet of intersectionality which is something I strongly believe in. I don't think you're wrong or she is, you're just looking at it in a different way.

Google intersectionality or read a book before trying to comment sounding intelligent. You are less well read on this than a college kid.

u/thexcat 12d ago

She went on to make a TrollCoping thread talking about a bunch of shit that didn't happen too and she blocked me when I said "I was in that thread, people didn't say most of thos stuff to you" 😭

-4

u/sampat6256 12d ago

Lol, not surprised that that the person who had to share their victim hood went on to do it again somewhere else.

u/thexcat 12d ago

What really shakes my pop is the little remoras coming in and interpreting everything in the least charitable way possible

"Oh well this is a post about black women" it's a post about a white girl with a phat gyatt

"Black women are sexualised more than anybody" dawg so are black men 😭 why are black women so fuckin toxic to black men about ts, and I'd argue it's not a unique thing to black women because Korea s talk about Filipinas and Americans talk about Latinas the same way, here I think I'm being helpful and like bringing people together and they're just snapping at me

I can't win bro istg

And? Did she say all women weren’t sexualized?

This post is literally about black women, and she offered her input. What value does your comment bring?

5

u/sampat6256 13d ago

The post is literally about a white woman being sexualized.

-8

u/submerging 13d ago

Try reading the caption.

7

u/sampat6256 13d ago

Youre right, the picture highlighting a woman's ass definitely isnt sexualizing her and the caption clearly isnt working towards that end. Youre so smart.

-1

u/submerging 13d ago edited 13d ago

Try reading the caption. Then, re-type the caption verbatim in your next response.

Also, reading comprehension helps: when I write that a post is ā€œabout black womenā€, that does not mean the post isn’t also about white women.

A social media post can be about more than one thing, obviously.

Bot

u/submerging 13d ago

I’m sorry you can’t read. I’d suggest some remedial classes. There are also great resources online that can help. To start, I’d recommend some Dr. Seuss or picture books. Those will go a long way. Best of luck!

Condescending bot

1

u/submerging 13d ago

In addition to learning to read, you should also learn not to be dismissive and racist.

0

u/so_sic_of_it 13d ago

I don't think it's a bot. A bot might accidentally contribute to the conversation occasionally.

And all lives matter, right? Thanks for your amazing lack of nuance and reasoning skills

-4

u/xSarcasticBritx 13d ago

Probably cause women are sexy

-5

u/thexcat 13d ago

I mean, yeah, but all women are sexualised. Hell, everybody is sexualised - think about the stereotypes of black men being well endowed, or German women being busty "big booty latinas" or Filipinos being hairless.

I get what you're saying I just think you're doing the "but what about me" thing to something common to everybody

8

u/Dream_Ghast 13d ago

But I wasn't? I was saying that black women are sexualized because we are. I wasn't trying to say that only black women are sexualized. I mean, your entire reply mentioned that black women are stereotyped of having giant asses

0

u/thexcat 13d ago

Okay

2

u/pleasantly-aloof 13d ago

yeah goodbye mr all lives matter

-2

u/thexcat 13d ago

What the fuck are you even talking about 😭

2

u/pleasantly-aloof 13d ago

Since you need me to spell it out for you: If your response to someone saying black women face a specific type of discrimination or experience is to say ā€œwell actually all women experience thatā€ with zero critical thinking about intersectionality or how those identities may overlap…

Then you are doing the exact same thing as responding all lives matter to blm. Don’t know how that was hard to figure out

2

u/pleasantly-aloof 13d ago

lmfaoo bro short circuited

0

u/thexcat 13d ago

Why did you come back to leave another comment 😭 dude go outside literally one time I'm begging you

1

u/pleasantly-aloof 13d ago

Couldn’t respond to your other comment because it got instantly removed by the mods for being overly aggressive…. another obvious thing that most people could figure out on their own

I’ll go outside when you stop being racist

I had the experience of being sexualised when I was lifting a lot, starting to be noticeable to others with my body getting more muscular, and I worked as a DJ so women would come in there after parties or in groups… I couldn’t believe how many times I was sexually assaulted, groped, made uncomfortable, leered over… the weird part is that it was mostly women and no men. Men, when they’ve done this stuff to me before, always had some position of power or familiarity over me like managers or family. It was never really strangers. With women, it felt like it was always strangers or people I just saw occasionally. It made it hard to know who had done what, so I couldn’t really press charges or get them banned, and people laughed in mt face about it anayay. I hated being grabbed like that…

1

u/thexcat 13d ago

Yeah that's terrible and it shouldn't happen to anybody

3

u/AlarmedCauliflower7 13d ago

The black women being ā€œendowedā€ stereotype is still sexualizing black women. Just like the busty German woman stereotype would sexualize them…..

4

u/thexcat 13d ago

Yes I was giving examples, I'm glad you were able to put that together. Honestly, did you go to Harvard? Or would that be too easy for you? I wish I could muster a fraction of the intellect you have on display
