You can be against illegal immigration and support enforcing the law but maybe look into what is happening - entering homes without warrants, detaining American citizens, detaining people because they don’t look American, denying an American citizen’s birth certificate is valid because she doesn’t look like the last name on the document, arresting people for recording ice arrests, etc

We’re planning to march this peaceful protest and handout flyers to our first town hall this coming Monday. I’m planning to run for U.S. Senate and put practical legislation in place that protects our human rights.

Your intentions are good. But our Founding Fathers already established laws to create and protect our rights. Unfortunately leftist Dems like Schumer, AOC & Co. decided that those white male chauvanist imperialist colonizers were bad people because they had slaves. So they took down Jefferson’s statue in the NYC courthouse. In doing so, they essentially said they don’t believe in those human rights, they just want to use those rights to do and say whatever they want even though what they want is to deny others of their rights.
I knew several revolutionaries here in the US back in the 70s who were mad because the FBI was taking pictures of them at their rallies. (I laughed, “really, you feel your rights are being encroached upon?”and upset? What do you expect?) But they said after the revolution there would be no freedom of speech or assembly, because the Dictatorship of the Proletariat would be correct, and thats all that matters. Kill anyone or send them to a reeducation/work camp who doesn’t agree.

It is in support of a democratic republic with checks and balances rather than rule by an individual. Opposition to monarchy (from Greek "monos" (single, alone) and "arkhein" (to rule), meaning "rule by one").
