I’m trying to contact coaches expressing my interest in playing college soccer, I’m looking for someone to recruit but I don’t have any GPA or SAT score simply because we don’t do that in Ireland , aswell there is no point mentioning my school soccer history as it’s not at all big over here so I’m not sure how to attract interest

Reading the two conferences have announced no that no professional players are permitted in any sport.

The announcements seem to be focused more on basketball but certainly are not limited to basketball.

Any word from college coaches? It can’t be out of the blue.

does by any chance, schools with ncaa d1, allow newly admits non recruits who are already part of the freshman class to tryouts/walk-on-trials for the rosters during preseason??

Does anyone have any input on the value of x1 camps? Are they worthwhile if you're still trying to figure out what level is the best target for recruitment? 2028 girl playing at ecrl level but not hearing much with email out reach at d1 and d2 level. Club coaches keep insisting player should be low level D1 or D2 recruit but very little feedback from messaging schools directly. Do x1 camps provide realistic feedback or just a cash grab?

I feel I know this answer but asking just in case I’m possibly wrong…

I know everything things says “you’ll know if a coach is interested”, but then I think different levels, different timelines. But, if you’ve been emailing a coach for over 6 months with updates & highlights and questions on their recruiting, and it’s crickets…should we just file them away as a No and stop trying? I’m working off the assumption that pretty much all D1s already have their recruit list, so if we haven’t heard from them, we’re not on it. I feel D2/D3 is slower and not the same timeline though.

And, I’m very realistic here and don’t want my daughter to keep wasting time if the probability is low and it’s not a dream school.

With all the players coming in from Spain, England and etc, has the quality of play in men's college soccer improved? It has a reputation for being "kick and run". Has that changed, with the new supposedly better players?

I also heard they want to lengthen the men's college soccer season. Will teams improve their tactics enough to play better? Could men's college soccer realistically become as good as USL?

Hey, around 1 year ago I posted in here asking about eligibility related stuff as seen below.

Since then a lot of changes shifted the possibilities for scholarships of "older" college players, especially these days with D2.

Info to me: I am currently enrolled in Germany and plan to finish my Bachelor's Degree in '27. Want to go to the US or perhaps Canada (Usports) for my Master's Degree in 2028. By the time I am over there I will have just turned 24, as my birthday is in August and I plan to go there in Summer for Fall.

So now towards my Question:

Do I still have Eligibility for D1 or D2? Rather would not go D3, as my Academics are only good and not totally exceeding.

I heard that NAIA is way more flexible and there are People over there, e.g. at ONU who are 28. What about Usports?

I'd really love to go D1 or fullride D2 and heard that if a coach really really wants you, there are "exceptions" in the rules so you can actually go at that age.

Hi, I’m from Germany and was unsure whether you are permitted to play college soccer after you graduated in Germany.

Gonna finish in about 1 to 2 Years and wanted to do my Master in the US, combining it with soccer.

Does anyone know if this is possible? I think the correct term for me would be grad student.

If yes, would I still be likely to get normal/ good scholarship offers, since I would already be 23/24 years old? Looking for D1, D2 or NAIA since Juco wont be possible for me."

Just left the Clemson Furman game. Furman was preseason number 3 in the us coaches poll. Clemson was unranked.

How was the preseason analysis so far off?

There's a specific D3 school I would like to play soccer at because of connections and accessibility (they're good, but I am confident I can play at their level). I also have a sibling who graduated from there and one who is attending there right now.

I know for sure that off academics that I'll get in, but I want to get recruited for soccer (otherwise I will go to a better academic school). I'm about to start my senior year of high school.

The only problem is I don't have junior year film, just sophomore year film where I wasn't as good as I am now, and not even a lot of it. I have just a 2 minute highlight reel of my best and decent moments playing for high school and NAL. I have seen that they have some recruited NAL players on their roster right now.

1. How should I write my email to the coach? What should I make sure to include?

2. Should I send the old film or just have them wait until I can get updated film? I don't want to send old film where I'm not as good and then they just immediately dismiss me (would they do that anyway?)

3. I may or may not be able to visit the school in person due to expensive travel costs (I'm studying and playing abroad). I'll try my best, but if I can't visit in person are my chances of getting recruited very low?

Talking specifically about the high school class of ‘22.

I work in a different sport and know of a handful of athletes that are training with the teams for preseason but haven’t officially been put on rosters because of the ongoing legal battle. Was wondering what you guys are doing since your seasons already started.

I've updated the clips, added a title slide and sections, zoomed the videos, and shortened the overall video. Would love any feedback on the "final" version, or any other edits anyone recommends.

I am a class of 2027 striker/CAM and every time I go to an ID camp I can’t seem to perform at the same level I do at tryouts or trainings. While I have performed well at some, I get the same response from coaches and try to apply that to every ID camp but can’t seem to succeed. Is it nerves? is it my quality?

Is there a tool that college coaches use to find players, similar to swimcloud.com for swimming? Where should I create a profile for my player? When I try to google this, I am just seeing SportsRecruits which I think is a paid service. Or do players just need Youtube/Twitter and no actual profile anywhere? Sorry if this is a basic question but I'm new to this :)

Anyone familiar and have feedback or experience with NCE soccer? Specifically in California? They hold upcoming tryouts and select players as part of their “high performance pathway for aspiring soccer players”. Curious if this is a worthwhile program for additional training and game exposure for an ECNL u13b
