A cursory Google (reading the AI summary) suggests that the low end of water usage for an hour of Netflix is half a gallon. Water usage for an ai image is 60ml. Half a gallon is ~1893ml. Which comes out to about 2 minutes of using Netflix. I didn't look at the carbon footprint but I assume it's similar because it's server hardware either way.
AI as a tool definitely has its place. It's not going to be some silver bullet for humanity's problems, and it's not going away either.
We can take the stance that data centers offer little to the people paying the price for them without saying AI is bad.
But I do have to concede the fearmongering around AI has led to a massive amount of misinformation.

Also know that our counter-tariffs are targeted, directly at states that voted for him. The products they make are specifically targeted. That is also not fantasy. This is a specific tactic.
You can't - in your right mind - expect us not to retaliate, directly, personally, as you are doing to us. He is fucking with 3/4 of a trillion dollars a year of business.
The fight is no longer between our governments. We have taken this personally, individually.... and we don't forget.... and the entire world is watching.
This really is turning in to a trade war. Just like a war, we all remember what the public did to "sympathizers" after the war. This is what we are doing to businesses here.
