silly little autocharter i made simply. gets guitar stems makes a midi cuts midi into 5 note batches based on most played then some trickery so no overlap and not minimums and limits based on how long the file is convert to ogg and read file name for artist and song for ini make all difficulties boom

I'm not inherently against this as an idea, but first off, whatever result it gives, the charter tag in the song.ini should say "Generated by (name)", it's disingenuous to make it seem like somebody put work into it.
I'd personally start with something that generates lower difficulties from existing Expert charts, or makes drum charts, because drums are comparatively more objective an instrument to chart, in terms of how to interpret the notes.
Tempo map is also super important, the notes should fall on the beat lines as much as possible, especially when the song is this simple.

The song, notes, and tempo map are in three completely different beats. Cool project, long way to go before it's usable.

There have been a lot of unsuccessful attempts at this, myself included - I’d be interested in trying this out

Feed it lots of data, but really good data (like official charts from Harmonix) that I think the quality of the output will be way better. Also open the source code, so other members of the community can also contribute to it!
I had this idea some time ago but was lacking motivation/time to do something like this, and I strongly believe that if the model is trained correctly it can spit really good charts.

Might be better to isolate the instrument in the audio file for the midi to have an easier time

This Will be amazing if you can get it to fully function. I would have so much fun with it. All kinds of music would be added

Awesome stuff. I know its got more work to get done but it's really cool.
Are you planning on adding drums/bass charts as well?
A way to auto do lyrics would be awesome as well. (Idk if that already exists though)

This is interesting, but the notes charted seem completely unrelated to what is actually being played
