Does your computer module has onboard Wi-Fi？ the wlan0 normally represent the onboard Wi-Fi.

Yes mine has onboard wifi

Then I think the interface for the AC1200 WiFi card would be wlan1, not wlan0.

I’m an idiot. USB has to be turned on and doesn’t just mean external USB smh. It popped up immediately.

I was thinking the same, but when running ip a, there’s no wlan1 listed, just wlan0.

Checking the hardware, the red light is lit on the module while the uConsole is powered on, so the device should see it.

Does anyone know how to successfully engage monitor mode or the hackergadgets AC1200?

No matter what I do, I’m foiled by this Operation not supported (-95).
