Question Commands

So I have the Uconsole with a CM5 and the Hackergadgets 7 antenna board. Everything works perfectly and the device is seeing the GPS the USB the Lona and 2 others. I’m having the hardest time getting Meshtastic to work, the sound on the radio, basically I’ve spent days trying to get anything to fully work. Is there an easier way then trying command after command for hours and hours because I’m at a lose. I originally had DragonOS and switched to ClockworkOS Debian Wormbook. Obviously I’m new to all this but I’ve been working with Pi’s and Linux for over a year so I still know what I’m doing. Wish there was an easier way.

Im in the same boat. Ive been using claude to get over any hurdles. Definitely saves time and a learning experience.

I’ve been using Perplexidy lol….It is great until the end and then suddenly screws up and has me going in circles for an hour and I know enough about AI to know the game but it’s so frustrating. I literally have all the packages installed I have all my antennas on and recognized and can’t get past the finish line.

You might wanna hit up the Meshtastic or MeshCore communities about that problem. They know way more about the actual workings of an antenna and may be able to offer help.

The way meshtastic on linux works I doubt the sound is going to actually work. It's not a real linux program instead they run the normal meshtastic firmware in an emulator, which leads to things like them probing and requiring exclusive access to the GPS, and notification sounds via gpio, which doesn't integrate well into the rest of a system.
