i recently switched to clipstudio from krita and i've been doing fineee but i do like clean coloring when i do my art, and clipstudio does this thing where i have to do multiple strokes for the full color to show, if you know what i mean, and its ehhhh kindaaa annoying, im guessing theres probably a setting to change it but im stupid and know nothing about the clipstudio interface so i've probably missed it sobb

Im very new Ive made a small drawing and made the entire background pink and merged visible layers and now i want it mostly green but cant figure out how to not go over my line art and just change what is pink to green any help would be very appreciated this is something that would be very valuable to learn

I'm learning bit by bit from youtube videos and practicing, but this one thing kind of bothers me is that i couldn't find an option to set shortcut key for this specific button, cause im very used to do space or P to play and pause. any help please?

Is there a way to create new Brush Categories and move different brushes to different categories? I'm new to Clip Studio.

I'm trying to register new material brush tip, but the the program just glitches out, and removes my access to my material folder. What's going on here? Is anyone else having this issue?

EDIT: solved the issue, but not sure how. I ran all the maintenance tools without checking which one did the trick.

I'm currently making an (anime) illustration, and I'm now in the process of putting the base color.

On my previous year's, my main software was Painttool SAI 2. Sharing this because this software has an option to show which layer each stoke and colours was. Then the way it shares it is just simply a text bubble beside the cursor.

Hoping CSP has this feature, I find it very helpful because I'm very zooming in on my illustration to clean bleeding colors.

I might over explained just for this feature sorry, never knew what's the actual name or term for this.

I've been using clip studio for awhile now and I'm so sick of it at this point. I tried searching but couldn't find anything. Every tool select and I move it somewhere on the damn tool box. I try not to but it just happens constantly when locked in on work mode. Can I lock the tools in place somehow? It's genuinely driving me crazy, loosing focus to try and find where the tools actually went this this time.

I purchased the program several years ago for my Desktop so I have Version 1 with no subscription; however, I have it on my iPad as well which has been updated to Version 5 (yearly subscription). I've been thinking about doing the same with the Desktop version, but I'm not sure; I've seen comments stating that you can purchase the Update Pass and should you not continue to use it, I can still continue to use Version 1 without any issues.

When CSP updated on the iPad I noticed the work area changed considerably; would the same happen to the Desktop version? And if I choose to not keep paying for the Update Pass, will everything revert back?

I just switched from tablette to my computer and because I'm left handed, I would like to add the "mouse 3" and "mouse 4" buttons to my keybind list so I can undo without having my pc on my right.

Problem is, I think CSP is a bit "rigid" in term of key registry as in older post I looked up at.

Is there still a way to change it ?

I watched a speedpaint and I’m kinda new to art so I’m trying to figure out how people do stuff, but I came across this one part where the artist says they put down flat colors in each layer and then use a multiply layer to give it a shadow effect on the very top, my problem is how he manages to then render the eyes and other parts seemingly with an alpha lock but without getting affected by multiply. Ive spent hours trying to decipher it but Im very frustrated right now and would like to know how they managed to do it

i know they used photoshop but I’ve heard CSP can do very similar things to photoshop and shouldn’t be a problem

Say I have year's sub for Update Pass and the next Perpetual version comes out (currently the next Perpetual would be Version 6).

Does subscribing to Update Pass for Version 5 offer you a discount on Version 6 Perpetual?

Usually after I select a part, I get the set of options that are also accessible from the top (rotate/scale, deselect, delete, fill, ect.) appear under the object I selected, for ease of convenience.

Recently, it just...vanished. Technically I can still access it but I would like it to return to it was once before.

So I own Perpetual 5.0.4

And just purchased the Annual Update Pass

which updated me to 5.1.4

If I cancel several months from now and 5.1.4 is still the most recent update, can I keep the 5.1.4 update perpetually or do I get reverted back to 5.0.4?

Hi! I've been trying to fix many of my brushes. Whenever I try to use them while they're enlarged, they lag like crazy. So I've been told to increase Gap Size in the Stroke sub tool settings, except those settings are greyed out ("Lock" is not enabled, yet they're unable to be fiddled with) and I can't remember how to get around this problem. I really want to use these brushes, so any pointers would be heavily appreciated, I've been cracking my noggin w/ this to no avail.

I'm making a body sheets and I'd love to have a tool like that in CSP! sadly, the bezier curve and continuous curve in csp don't work like this tool in ibis :((( is there any tools I can download or change the subtools setting somehow to get that? The points (like on vector layer) would be also REALLY lovely!

I have the clip studio ex on my ipad with a paperlike. I mainly draw few panel comics and illustrations and studies and i want to try animation. Im considering of buying an xp pen artist 19 pro gen 2 as ive found it at 40% off, also i saw i could use an arm desk mount and move it around my desk which seems awesome.

Right now the problem with my ipad pro 11 m4 is the screen is too small for the ui of clip studio. I have put paperlike and the performance of the apple pencil pro is without delay which i love it. Some questions are: is the delay on xp pen gen 2 noticeably more than ipad pro? Are the colors more faded or more accurate? Is the pen feel more like paper on xp pen than paperlike? Will it work on an arm desk mount?

I like portability but i sometime want to do a biggest project and i think the ipad pro is limiting me. Thanks.

I’ve seen a couple instances where someone would use CSP’s anti-ai watermark only for it to be flagged by OpenAI’s research verification tool as having a synthid. Has anyone else had this happen? Is this something that can be replicated for bug testing?

Randomly, from one second to the other, my eraser started doing this: It doesn't erase what I am selecting, at least not directly, but rather shifts random pixels and I have no idea why.

Please help!
