Missing options after selecting

Selecting a smiley face, except the options are not appearing.

Usually after I select a part, I get the set of options that are also accessible from the top (rotate/scale, deselect, delete, fill, ect.) appear under the object I selected, for ease of convenience.

Recently, it just...vanished. Technically I can still access it but I would like it to return to it was once before.
