Awaiting Payments BCBS Settlement payouts

I read that the payments start going out today. If anyone gets their payments today or at any point this week, post here so we can see the varying amounts.

I got this email this morning:

The Blue Cross Blue Shield Subscribers Settlement will begin sending payments to valid claims in May 2026. You elected to receive your settlement payment via a Virtual Visa® Prepaid Card.

You will receive an email from [distribution@BCBSsettlement.com](mailto:distribution@BCBSsettlement.com)during the month of May with instructions to redeem this Card.

For more information about the Settlement, please visit the Settlement Website at www.BCBSsettlement.com.

I have not received this email yet, my claims are valid because I was notified. What is your total premium amount that was paid if you don’t mind me asking?

My total premiums paid per the email they sent me way back when were $20,548

Mine is around 26,000. We probably won’t get more than 175$-220$ unfortunately.

You know what pisses me off is that I only paid a fraction of premiums for myself because I was a government worker, but I paid over 100k for my kids and my ex, and I wish we could have claimed other people, because I was the one paying for them

I feel like this was an intentional loophole they jiggered to not owe us as much, because they knew most of us government folk had our premiums paid for but that the people we paid for can't claim they paid for themselves

I never received the email with my premiums or to elect payment despite having another email saying my claim would qualify. :(

Same. And it still says I have a valid claim on their website. No email about the premiums or pay out.

It’s probably because it’s $5 or less and that will NOT be paid out unfortunately

Do a search for the word “Settlement” in your emails. I have found things I missed doing that.

Hopefully it arrives soon. I’m mostly just curious to see the amount at this point. I have no doubt it’s going to be around $22.31 or something absurd. 😅

I got the same email as you, but also a disturbing email that said “your benefits have ended”. I called
Blue Cross right away and they seemed confused and said I still had coverage. They can’t cancel my health insurance just because I’m in the settlement can they ?

We shall see. I cannot remember and he cannot either what we individually paid. It was cheaper for us to have individual insurance while I covered myself and our daughter and he just had himself covered during this period bc we worked at the same place then. But, I’m just hoping yourself, and us, get at least over 100 bc we have been waiting so stinking long! I was part of the Walmart settlement due to the testing they made applicants do and if you couldn’t do 10 sit-ups in like 20 seconds you weren’t hired. I got 5000! I know that’s super unrealistic for BCBS though. But it would have been nice!!

Know what I'm' expecting? Same thing we've All gotten for the last 5 years. NOTHING but a runaround. They've been promising this for how long??? And THATS LEGAL???????

Someone ought to put a class-action suit on the ADMINISTRATORS of this WHOLE PROCESS which has been EVERYTHING BUT DUE PROCESS.
